The Hampton Roads Philharmonic is a wonderful nonprofit organization. They put on many events for the local community, including a free holiday concert and participate in CNU's Community Music Festival. The orchestra is great at providing free and low-cost quality musical experiences for local community members.
As a retired military musician, I am SO grateful to the Hampton Roads Philharmonic for provided me and others with a quality outlet which allows us to continue to do something that we dearly love. Make music.
Music is a communicative art. And the joy that one derives from playing with others is enhanced multifold.
Being able to present that experience with your community with regular public concerts is icing on the cake.
