EDGE Teen Center loves our connection with HUGS! Per-COVID, we took up to 15 teens to volunteer at HUGS once a week! Through this opportunity, we learned that teens really enjoy spending time outside and feeling instant gratification from seeing their completed work in the garden at the end of each day. HUGS is a great resource for the community of Hamilton and leaves our teens and future leaders with an unforgettable experience and love for healthy food options.
Professional with expertise in this field
HUGS is an amazing asset to the Hamilton community! The organization that I co-direct has been a partner of HUGS for the past few years. They show a great concern for their community and a sustainable food system. The team at HUGS is collaborative with potential partners. Additionally, the food that HUGS provides is amazing quality. Our clients love when we have a new delivery of produce from HUGS.
Between developing community gardens and hosting local street markets, Alfred and HUGS do great work in bringing fresh, healthy food to the residents and visitors of downtown Hamilton, OH. HUGS also support local businesses and entrepreneurs - crucial components of a revitalized urban area.
