LANDLORDS BEWARE!!!!...
Don't be fooled by the responsiveness you get when they're attempting to get their client into your property, because that will end as time passes, or the double security deposit they provide, because you will regret going into business with this subsidy program!
Once they get their client housed and you are now their landlord, then the subsidy period ends, guess what?!...You're now stuck with a tenant that can't afford the rent AND this organization offers ZERO transitional assistance for their clients and they refuse to meet or even discuss with the landlord a plan for transition once the subsidy ends! So now their client is now your problem and you are responsible for assisting the tenant by either applying for rent relief - which most of us landlords know this a slow, red tape involved process. Or you, the landlord is now responsible for finding another subsidy program, if you want to get your rental payments. Mind you, we all know during the eviction moritorium you can't evict anyone AND in many areas of the state a landlord must show proof that they filed for rent relief before eviction is even considered!
Essentially, Hamilton Families will leave you stuck with a tenant that cant afford the rent and won't give you the respect of a transition discussion with the landlord.
Save yourself the headache....DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS ORGANIZATION!!

Programs: Founded in 1985, Hamilton Families established San Francisco’s first shelter for families experiencing homelessness. Today we are San Francisco's leading service provider to homeless families, with an array of highly effective programs at sites in San Francisco and Oakland. The Hamilton Shelter Program in the Tenderloin provides safe shelter, three meals a day and critical social services to 50 families a night for up to six months. Hamilton Transitional Housing houses and supports up to 25 families at high risk for chronic homelessness for 6 to 18 months. Families receive intensive social services to identify and address factors contributing to their homelessness. Hamilton Housing Solutions prevents homelessness whenever possible and assists families who have become homeless with housing search assistance, temporary rent assistance, case management, job search and other services for up to 18 months to help them find and retain a permanent home. Hamilton Children's Services provides therapeutic support and enrichment activities to strengthen children's resiliency, promote academic success and enhance the parent-child bond.
