I recently attended a HalfMoon seminar in Raleigh NC. The speakers were fine. However, future attendees should BE WARNED! Half Moon will give you paper materials if you attend the seminar and will give you no opportunity to access any electronic materials. I called to ask for an electronic version of the materials and that is NOT an option unless you skip the live lecture and opt for self-study. Had they shared this information upfront, I would have purchased the less expensive option and done self-study (which comes with electronic materials that they safeguard from in-person attendees). The customer service representative also suggested that if they made electronic versions available to me as an attendee, I would probably violate copyright laws with the materials. If I really wanted to break the law, I could scan and distribute the paper version just as easily as I could a PDF (which I would never do).
There is no option to purchase both paper and electronic versions of the material - so SELECT CAREFULLY! Due to these limitations, I will not be attending any more live education from this company and would not recommend this education source. Caroline Crawford, JD, RN.
Recently I took a class offered by HalfMoon Education Inc. for California Easements, Rights-of-Way, and Eminent Domain in Orange County California. The class we took was very disappointing. The teachers or the presenters (every one of them) were unqualified to teach the class. There were 4 or 5 presenters that none of them had any experience in the subject matter. There is nothing wrong with being young or recently graduated from school but we paid good money and took off from work to take the class so we could learn about new or changes in the laws that affected our profession.
In fact most of the attendees had more knowledge about the subject.
The teachers were taking notes and learning from the students.
We did not learn anything. It was total waste of money and time to attend this class.
