Habitat for Humanity Plano Restore, gave me a great experience by not only helping the customers but also knowing that what I was doing was going to benefit families in our community, and that's what I enjoyed most about it, because not so many organizations do this type of charity work for others around us.

Mission: To provide decent, affordable homes for deserving families while building foundations for the community.
Programs: Habitat for humanity of south collin county (hfhscc) is part of a global, nonprofit housing organization operating on christian principles that seeks to put god's love into action by building homes, communities & hope. Our vision is a world where everyone has a decent place to live. In the last two years hfhscc has completed 158 projects for low-income families in our community, including 13 new houses constructed & 145 home repair/rehabilitation projects. Hfhscc houses are sold to partner families at no profit, financed on a zero percent interest loan. The partner families' monthly mortgage payments are used to build more habitat houses. Hfhscc partner families contribute more than 71,000 in property taxes each year to our county, cities & schools. Hfhscc works to accomplish this goal with the help of local families, individuals, schools, faith communities, corporations, foundations, & community leaders. Through donations of money & materials & volunteer labor, hfhscc builds, rehabilitates & preserves simple, decent houses with the help of the homeowners.
