The Habitat for Humanity of Jensen Beach was very helpful in customer service, I was on a waiting list for an item I was in need of for my family and as soon as this particular item came in I was immediately contacted by the staff!! I really really appreciate the customer service! Green$Sod
I'm thankful for the terrific job that Steven and Glenn did in removing all the furniture and household items from my Mom's home that she is donating to this worthy cause. They arrived on time, went straight to work. Very professional and friendly. Thanks again.
I am a brand new volunteer to Habitat for Humanity of Martin County. On June 6, 2014, I retired from Martin County High School , ending a 42 year teaching career as a Spanish and ESOL teacher. When a former colleague invited me to come to the Women Build planning committee meeting, I thought that would offer me an interesting way to help in the community. However, when everyone found that I was bilingual in Spanish and English, I quickly found out about all the other ways I can volunteer at Habitat. I now serve on the family selection committee, mentor a newly accepted family through the three budget sesssions, have completed a home survey visit for a second family, and have been translating documents into Spanish to better serve the Spanish speaking community. I am delighted to have found this way to help in my community and am truly impressed by all the ways Habitat helps in Martin County!
I am truly grateful to Habitat for Humanity for giving me the opportunity to help families make their dream come true!
I was looking to volunteer when i found Habitat for Humanity and what made me decide this was the right place for me was the fact that they teach individuals how to better them selfs, they don't give away they give them the support & couching to be able to work towards their dream (owing a home). Habitat for humanity also demands that they keep this homes in good condition, i.e.: repairs, lawn maintenance, etc.
But the most amazing thing Habitat for Humanity does for this families is to give them the opportunity to give back, by requesting volunteer hours to help others.
Habitat for Humanity is an asset to our communities, not only they give families a home, they teach them work, perseverance, to believe in them selves, encourages to set long term and short term goals,
and by keeping their homes in good condition teaches this families how to have better communities and lifestyles PRICELESS.
Habitat for Humanity of Martin County is a stepping stone for Partner Families to fulfill their dream of owning a home. Partner families are educated on budgeting finances, applying for a mortgage, and becoming their own advocate. The families put in 300 hours of sweat equity on their home and 110% of the children of Partner Families go to post-secondary school and become productive members of our community!! I am fortunate enough to be part of an amazing team of dedicated individuals who see the need for all people to work towards their dream of owing a home.
I have worked with Habitat of Martin County for almost ten years. The experience is incredible! Not only do you learn so much about building a house but you get to meet the amazing families that are getting a home for the first time. It is truly rewarding and I would recommend it to everyone!!!
When I am in Florida I work about one day a week. I have been doing this for about 12 years. My working years were providing entry level housing. I find personal satisfaction in continuing to do what I did for 35 years. It is my opinion that Habitat provides the only affordable housing being done today. When I see the smiles on the faces of our homeowners, I know that we are doing the right thing.

It's been a real pleasure working with Habitat for Humanity. We've been doing all the plumbing for Habitat for Humanity for around 25 years now and have enjoyed every moment from day 1. Every employee/volunteer we've meet over the years, have been a class act and a pleasure to be around. What a great organization!!!! Thanks Habitat for making our community a better place!!!!
Thanks

For more than 6 years I've worked with Habitat for Humanity supplying the cabinetry for all their homes in the Martin County area. It's been a true pleasure working with such caring & professional individuals who are dedicated to providing a beautiful safe haven for qualified families. Helping Habitat for Humanity give back to the community time and time again is a wonderful experience, and I recommend others to hop on board. Watching a dedication to a family reminds all of us just how something so small-can seem so large to others.
