Habitat for Humanity Lake County

My experience with habitat for humanity lake County has been life changing. The doors have been open with the opportunity for me to own a home and habitat has made this possible. Habitat for humanity has prepared me with all the steps that I need to own a home. From a class room setting to construction sites. The 500 hours I needed to accomplish this goal has made me a hard worker and responsible. I want to take this time to thank habitat for humanity lake County, all the volunteers, sponsors, and donors for making it possible for all the partner families of Lake County dream come true. You all are truly a blessing.

Habitat for Humanity - Lake County truly cares about serving the families in their area. Their goal is to get as many responsible families into safe and affordable homes while also building communities for the long term. They have done that for over 540 people by building or renovating 136 homes while also tithing and supporting the build of 257 homes in the Phillipines for 1285 people.

As a Board member, it is gratifying seeing the passion this Habitat location, the staff and the volunteers take in giving and supporting the community. They embody the Christian spirit through their words and actions. Their vision of Building Homes, Building Lives and Building Communities is truly captured and implemented here.

Their resale shop - ReStore provides buidling materials and appliances to help individuals affordably improve their homes. Their vision of Reduce, Reuse and Recycle is actively taking place through their efforts in this area.

I am proud to be associated with and to serve with Habitat for Humanity in Lake County.

I've worked with other not-for-profit orgs and have been continually impressed by the level of oversight, strong leadership, and stewardship that HFH Lake County operates with. There is thoughtful discussion on decisions, and all discussions start with a reminder of our mission. I am proud to be part of such a high performing organization that focuses on serving families in need from our community. Seeing the faces of our families as we work along side them is worth everything.
