Mission: Habitat for humanity las vegas, inc. (habitat) a not-for-profit organization located in las vegas, nevada was established in 1990. Habitat's purpose is to build low cost houses with the help of the homeowner families, which are transferred to the families at no profit and financed by habitat with affordable, no-interest loans.
Programs: Since our founding, habitat for humanity las vegas has provided homes to 109 local families. This means 388 people - including 248 children under the age of 18 - have place they can truly call home. We are able to accomplish this because of the dedication of our staff and volunteers. Last year, volunteers provided over 11,000 hours of labor to hfhlv. This has a value of more than 263,000 to the organization. Volunteers help make the dreams of homeownership a reality for our families. Habitat for humanity las vegas continues to focus on our core mission of seeking to put god's love into action by bringing people together to build homes, communities, and hope throughout clark county. We build new homes and rehabilitate foreclosed homes throughout the valley, including north las vegas and henderson. We look forward to the day when everyone in our community has a decent place to live.
