Bike & Build has worked with Habitat Garland since 2009. We have granted them funds to carry out various projects related to involving young adults in addressing the affordable housing cause. Our riders have also stopped to build with their affiliate during our cross-country bike trips; the connection our young people are able to make the beneficiaries of HfH Garland's work inspires them to stay involved in the affordable housing cause long after they have stopped through their area!

Programs: Acquire lots and homes for the purpose of renovating existing homes or building new homes for low income families. Homes are sold to low income families at materal costs only plus 0% interest mortgage loans. The labor to build the program properties is provided by unpaid volunteers. In calendar year 2016,-----home was finished and sold to a low income family. ------ other homes were in various stages of completion at year end.
