Mission: The H. E. Butt Foundation is a private operating foundation based in Kerrville, Leakey, and San Antonio, Texas, working to cultivate wholeness in people and institutions for the transformation of communities. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization financially and legally distinct from the H-E-B Grocery Company. The H. E. Butt Foundation, incorporated in 1933, owns a 1,900-acre property along the Frio River Canyon in Texas where five camp programs are administered: H. E. Butt Foundation Camp—a free use facility camp, Laity Lodge Youth Camp, Laity Lodge Family Camp, Laity Lodge Retreat Center, and Outdoor School—a free use facility camp for schools with hands-on facilitation services.
