Mission: The Guest House provides shelter, housing, education and services for Milwaukee's homeless who seek to transform their lives with dignity and purpose. Since first opening our doors to offer short-term emergency shelter in 1982, Guest House of Milwaukee has grown to provide a full continuum of onsite and community-based programs to address the complex and evolving needs of individuals experiencing homelessness - touching nearly 2,000 lives each year. Rooted in our commitment to serving Milwaukee’s at-risk and marginalized populations with understanding and compassion, Guest House has a long history of successfully supporting those with even the most challenging barriers to regaining, and maintaining, independence.

GH is one of those places that wdon't people away and treats everyone the same way. They are great with supplying people with food, clothing and shelter when available. One of the things I appreciate is the "Low Barrier" policy in place. Meaning there's no judgment, just help. GH helps a bunch of people daily and with the help from the community and communities around, even more can be done. I love how the GH women would cook and serve good old home cooked meals for the guys.
