My wife and I met Jeff, Esther, and Mark through a missionary that we sponsor. We served beside them in Guatemala, conducting medical clinics in 5 remote rural Guatemala villages. We traveled with them, provided services, and prayed as hundreds of ill people were diagnosed and treated for acute health conditions. They return to the villages monthly and follow up on medical conditions. We also helped sponsor a feeding station with God Said Go to provide a nutritional lunch for the children in a village where previously they were eating paper to fill their stomachs. It is clear that God Said Go and its staff has a heart for the Guatemalan people and Jesus. We saw they are using our donations efficiently while significantly impacting Guatemala's people. We encourage you to donate to God Said Go and see God's work in Guatemala.
I was part of a medical and childrens ministry mission trip to 2 villages in Guatemala with God Said Go. It was truly amazing. My 13 year old daughter participated in the childrens ministry and I participated in the medical clinics. We both walked in the villages to take bags of food to the people. There were so many needs met in the villages. We are tired but our hearts are full truly being the hands and feet of Jesus. Getting to see that the prayer needs and physical needs are no different than our own was eye opening. I cant wait to come back next year. I will keep praying for the Guatemalan people that I met. Jeff and Esther have made many connections and ministry opportunities in the 6 years they have been there. I will continue to pray for their ministry as well.
I had a wonderfully blessed week here in Guatemala. God said go made every day full of new ways to serve the community. They were all hands-on answered so many questions that I had about the country and the people you could see the love they had for the people every day and people came up to them and knew them Kids hug them. I truly believe they are doing God’s work care and I hope to be a supporter for a long time.
The people making up GSG Missions work tirelessly reaching out to so many Villages. They provide food, medicine and most importantly, Spirital healing. Going into to the villages on almost impassable roads and spending many hours just in travel. We are very proud of all of the people who makeupGSG Mission!
Esther and Jeff are friends of mine from the United States. When Esther comes home on her break her and we sit for hours and talk about all the things that they have done. I think it’s pretty amazing. Both of these people are so dedicated to underprivileged people that they are willing to help. God has blessed both of them greatly. Getting up life in the United States to go someplace else that is not your culture and provide such services. Only God could provide.
God Said Go is the real deal! Their heart for the people of Guatemala is very inspiring. While their nurses were performing a pop up clinic to remote areas, we helped them setup, tear down and show Jesus love to the local children.
The reason that I liked the trip so much is that I got to play with the kids from different villages and it was just so much fun. I also liked that I was able to speak Spanish and learn more Spanish than when I started. I was very happy with our stay and how nice the team was. If I was given the chance I would totally go again.
Wow! The week we were able to spend with God Said Go was a true taste of going to the uttermost parts if the earth! It was such a blessing to get to a part of their team and get to minister through games, songs and Bible stories. Thank you for hosting us! It was a blessing to work with all of you!

I volunteered as a nurse for 2 weeks with God Said Go Mission in Guatemala. It was an awesome experience in every way! They are taking a mobile Clinic and Pharmacy to remote villages; caring for the needs of impoverished villagers. Their Team members are full of the joy of the Lord as they serve; display a deep commitment to Jesus and to the native Guatemalan people.
I’ve been blessed beyond measure to have this experience and I hope God sends me back to serve with them again!
It was a good but very busy week of ministry with God Said Go. I think the biggest impact I had was all the long road trips where I got know the GSG missionaries. I was humbled by their selfless, long hours of work and love for the Guatemalan people. I know they and their families have sacrificed much in this life but imagine that great will be their eternal reward.
Thank GSG for allowing us to share your ministry up close.
God bless,
Mark Laxton.
What else can you be more thankful than seeing Guatemalan kids happily holding their backpacks to start their education journey. Back at home in Hong Kong, kids have more than enough supplies and school bags and they may take it for granted.
GSG team are there in Guatemala rural villages, greeting the kids with love and care. Thank you for your commitment despite all the challenges and obstacles on the road, financially, manpower and resources-wise, etc…
Previous Stories
I follow God Said Go’s Facebook updates and receive their monthly prayer guides “Stand in the Gap”.
I’m touched by many of the stories they shared about the Guatemalans they served through clinical outreaches. One of them is little Helen who had been suffering from a lump on her arm. God sent her GSG so she got cured.
I’m also impressed with the way they line up with other missionaries so talents and resources be joined and best utilized to serve the people and share Jesus’ love.
Rocansa’s Hope is another important missions they work on. It’s great to see the “orphanaged” young ladies get such a welcoming home where they can learn to be independent and to know God more deeply.
Many new initiatives progresses despite the hit of COVID and the breakdown of their truck, etc.. Surely, God’s blessings have been showering over this missionary: their leaders, partners, volunteers and those they serve.
I am training to receive my certification as a healthcare Interpreter and have had the opportunity to join GSG on a few of their medical missions. The team is great. They have a few native Guatemalans on their team so that helps provide some cultural context when working with patients. The patients are so grateful for the healthcare they receive since GSG travels to some extremely remote villages that most other non-profits will not go to because of the challenges of getting there.
I am still carry Guatemala in my heart. The God Said Go mission trip taught me so much about my own growth in Christ and in ministry. The team was Greta to work with and I really want to do this again!
What an experience! As a pastor I was deeply moved with the ministry of God Said Go. The opportunity to bring free medicine and food to the underdeveloped villages of Guatemala is only the first step of this ministry. GSG missionaries also bring pure joy to children as they teach about the love of God and provide support to the local pastors—- from building much-needed facilities to helping schools and teachers. Well organized and with REAL ministry, I plan to support this work and involve our church in showing the love of Jesus to Guatemala.
What an eye-opening, compassionate experience! God Said Go ministries are incredible! Ministering to the under-developed and unreached villages of Guatemala, GSG allowed us to see firsthand the impact of food and medications to these precious people. This ministry is faithfully showing the unconditional love of Christ! Thank you GSG for allowing us to a part of God’s miraculous love!
This group has an awesome ministry to the rural areas in Guatemala. Their dedication to these villages to get them medical care is way beyond average care! They share the medical care and the love of Jesus. They are the very best!! It was amazing to watch them work and care for the people they serve.
What a blessing to be a part of God’s work in Guatemala! Thank you to God Said Go ministry for allowing us to serve with you at the clinic last Thursday ♥️
Memories from the Guatemala Mission Trip 2023
I have many fond memories of my time in Guatemala that I will never forget.
From the laughter of the children as we held hands and played games. Joining them in singing and praising God.
The joyous faces of the nurses and future nurses who were able to triage patients for the clinics, play games with the children and dress up and perform a skit about Daniel and the Lion.
I remember the team packing, unpacking, and rearranging suitcases and bags
Hearing the children’s missionary, Rachel with God Said Go, speak about how Jesus loves them.
I also enjoyed walking the streets in Panajachel and our boat ride across Lake Atitlan.
Touring the pottery factory and being humbled by the work they were able to do with their hands and dirt. Being reminded of our Heavenly Father who formed man out of clay.
Driving over the bumpy lava was an intense experience, as the vehicle jolted and bumped with every rise and fall of the terrain. The mission team was filled with excitement and anticipation as we approached the village, knowing that it was the first time a mission team had ever arrived.
It was a delight to meet the beautiful couple who set up, prepared and served the children. They were so kind and generous in their actions, and had such a wonderful way of making the children and us feel special and cared for. It was a pleasure to spend time with them and it was a heartwarming experience to witness the love and care they provided to the children. They were a true blessing and it was an honor to be in their presence.
Developing new friends and reuniting with old ones.
I will forever cherish the memories created in Guatemala, and am grateful for this time and looking forward to the next.
His Blessings on the people of Guatemala.
God Said Go Missions exists to break the bonds of generational poverty. Their heart for the people of Central America is so authentic. They are truly living out the calling in Matthew 28: 18-20 and Luke 10:2. They take prayerful consideration of which villages they will minister to. They provide far more than resources, but see those they care for as cherished men, women, and children of God. Their ultimate goal is to build relationships and carry out the Great Commission. The amount of surrender that I saw the week I was in Guatemala brought me to tears. It was a blessing to partner with them. During my time serving with them, I was reminded to be available and surrendered to the Lord. Living for Christ truly is the most fulfilling, purposeful, and exhilarating way to live our lives. His way is best and He is able to do exceedingly and abundantly greater things than what we could ever ask or imagine according to His power at work within us. The impact GSG is making is eternal and it's a blessing to be able to be a part of it. I would highly encourage you to join them.
I truly had an amazing time with this team, the way that this organization serves the communities they reach out to is unbelievable. I have loved every second being with them and making amazing relationships with the team, I wouldn't change a thing. I cannot wait to come back and see how much more they have grown.
Jeff and Esther, directors of this ministry, have a great heart for God. Their vision is to develop a well established ministry that will outlive their own involvement, in not only Guatemala, but surrounding countries as well. Their team brings medical care, food, water purification, teaching of children and young women, and the Gospel to the neediest people in their area. Jeff and Esther trust God to provide the people and resources for His work through them, and are constantly reminded of His great power in the many ways in which He leads and provides. They are both very capable, and together do this work with much love and enthusiasm.
I have known Jeff and Esther for many many years and they have and still are dear friends and incredible brothers and sisters in Christ. They have a Heart for God and their willingness to follow Him and do whatever he asks of them shows profoundly in their lives.
We love Esther and Jeff! They have a heart for Jesus and follow His lead. We've known them for years and enjoy them.
God Said Go ministry is an amazing ministry. They are everything you would want in the missions field. As well as sharing the teachings of the gospel, they offer free food, medical assistance, and supplies to the residents of Guatemala. Jeff and Esther truly care about the people they serve. They are dedicated to serving the Lord and do so willingly with loving hearts. The world needs more people like them.
God Said Go has a wonderful mission and is really down to earth. Jeff and Esther are so passionate about helping the people in Guatemala build a better foundation to live the way God intended.
God Said Go ministry is what I think Missions should be about. Trying to help the impoverished help themselves by supplying the education and resources to do so. They also supply food and help pack and distribute it. Medication and medical help are also part of this ministry as well as sharing the gospel.
God Said Go is a wonderful non profit that is continually adapting and changing to meet the needs of the people they encounter in Guatemala. From relief services, medical ministry to community development, they are always looking for ways to best serve the people of Guatemala and demonstrate God's love. Full of passionate and talented people with big hearts!
I had a wonderful experience working with these people in Guatemala. They have a heart for the Lord and are dedicating everyday to serving the people of God
This group is a very great group they care about the people in Guatemala and their teams who come to minister
we are so proud to call Jeff and Esther our friends and brother and sister in Christ. We love being part of their ministry and pray that God works through them to bring the Kingdom of Heaven here on Earth.
Love,
John and Megan
This nonprofit is amazing to say the least! Not only do they provide the communities with food, they provide medical free services to folks in need in the committees. The thing that really makes it Amazing is that their care doesn't just help those who come to them, they are able to make house calls to those who are so sick to come out to see them! It's wonderful to see a Nonprofit who not only cares for their communities but they really truly have their hearts 100% committed to the love they neighbor! Thank you for all that you do! May God bless your ministry abundantly!
Matthew 18:19; Mark 16:15 and many other places in the Bible say that the gospel should be spread to the world! This is the mission of our Heavenly Father to every Christian.
However, in far away Guatemala, many disadvantaged families and orphans in the remote areas do not have a chance to hear the gospel; the salvation of Jesus Christ.
Thank God for sending Jeff and Esther. They are blessed by God to be able to overcome so many obstacles to help those disadvantaged families and orphans in Guatemala and to spread the goodnews to them.
Thank you for your love in action so I am able to participate in it from afar. Whether through prayer, spiritual or financial support, your mission have allowed me who can’t leave my job to come to Guatemala to have the the opportunity to partner with you. I know it pleases God when I follow His commandments even I can’t be there physically myself.

We served alongside the McClaran’s for over 20 years. They are an incredible couple, faithfully serving Jesus wherever God has called them. We love them dearly and are blessed to know them. 1 Cor. 15:58
God Said Go and J33 missions have been a great help for Guatemala. When I have served with them, I have realized why God sent them to work here. There’s so much need here.
Love this ministry and our selfless friends Jeff and Esther who are serving full time in Guatemala. Go Said Go is the prefect name to describe this outreach providing housing, medical care and support for Guatemalan girls, children and whole villages.
Jeff and Esther McClaran and their team of missionaries do amazing work to support the needs of the people of Guatemala, while demonstrating Christ's love. It is a privilege to support them.
God said Go has brought me and so many others so much joy, peace, and most of all the word of God. The people who are apart of this nonprofit are so giving and willing to serve the Lord! They showed me how to serve others and to become more selfless. They have heart for the people in Guatemala and it is amazing to see.
We retired to Guatemala in 2013. We have seen God Said Go from the beginning. They are the real deal. They are taking care of the poor and needy. They help widows and orphans. They provide food, medicine and clean water. It is an honor to know them and support this ministry. We pray daily for God Said Go and all their ministries.
My husband and I have experienced firsthand the work this group is doing in Guatemala. They are friendly, hardworking, and realistic in expectation of volunteers. They have a heart for nonprofit work and exemplify mentoring for newer nonprofits.
This group of missionaries are doing a fantastic job. They go out to these remote villages in hard to reach villages and feed and bring medicine to help these people. They mingle and pray and spend time with the villagers. They really care for them. They are very much appreciated by these people. Their transportation isn’t the best but they pray that it gets them there and back home. You never hear them complaining about any of it. They love what they do. We are very proud and humbled at how driven they are to help as many people as they can!
Jeff and Esther have been our friends for many years and we can profess that they are very strong, born again Christians. When they were called to do their ministry , we were excited for them and for the people that they would touch. We support them regularly and we are so proud of the work they do.
These folks are truly amazing! To give up a comfortable life, going into places that are so remote it's a struggle just to get to. They bring food and water and medicines and medical attention to the people that live in these places. This is a very worthwhile organization to send your prayers and financial aid to.
GSG cares for and serves the impoverished people in Guatemala, including hard-to-reach villages, meeting both their physical and spiritual needs through various charity programs like food distributions, medical care, clean water charity, etc, as well as sharing the good news of Jesus to them.
GSG deserves our support, as it impacts lives through much-needed services and makes the world different.
God Said Go has an incredible heart and vision for young women transitioning from orphanages to adulthood. This ministry houses and educates these young women so they do not have support themselves by sex trafficking. These young women are trained in the word of God and honorable trades so that when they are ready they have the life skills to support themselves and their families. God Said Go also helped feed many starving people during COVID-19 pandemic. It is a great honor to know and support Jeff and Esther!!!
GodSaidGo brings me to recognition on the extreme intergenerational poverty issue in Guatemala. Their first hand experience and stories of the medical supplies and daily necessities needs of the kids and adults there, especially in those hard to reach villages touched me. May God bless their vision and mission. May God's hand be with the staff and missionaries so they are safe, healthy and spiritually strong even though they face challenges in their everyday services and expeditions.
Jeff and Ether put their whole heart and all their effort into this ministry. Leaving everything behind to answer the Calling God has deeply rooted in their hearts. I've known them a long time and I know their ups and their downs and I can say with all confidence that what they are doing is exactly what they are suppose to do.

God Said Go is an amazing expression of God's love to the underserved in Guatemala. This group provides long term resources to keep young women out of human/sex trafficking. Young women are provided a safe home with loving caregivers who nurture their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. These ladies are provided an education and assistance in starting their careers. The group also serves remote areas providing nutrition, medical care, spiritual care, love and support to villages that are desperate for basic necessities. The founders of God Said Go diligently maximize the resources provided to them to create the most good possible. I'm looking forward to my first opportunity to visit them in Guatemala and share in the work load. C. Lazarz
I have interacted with Esther McClaren on many occasions. Her heart is always fir the Lord and for the beautiful people of Guatemala. She works tireless hours to serve this very underserved community. It’s my pleasure to give a glowing review to this worthy, and Christ loving ministry.
I have first hand experience with this organization and I couldn't recommend them higher. They have hearts for the poor and needy and go over and above to help as many as possible! They travel to remote villages through dangerous roads to bring people needed food, medical help and supplies. May the good Lord help and protect them in their endeavors!!!
Thank you for your Ministry at God said go. I am always overcome with joy at the thought of what a commitment you chose. You bless me daily thinking of your desire to take up your cross and follow Christ. The sacrifice you willingly gave up for what you desired to do for others. You touch may lives home and abroad, any time I mention your ministry to others there’s a feeling of joy that comes over people instantly. I thank God for the honor and privilege to give to such a cause. You truly bless my life.
We have known Jeff and Esther for many years. We admire their love for the Lord and their obedience to follow their calling. They have fervently prayed for years and it’s wonderful to see then being used so powerfully in Guatemala!! We are thrilled to follow their ministry and support their great work.
I personally know these missionaries and they have a heart for the people of Guatemala. Especially the girls who age out of girls homes at 18 and have no place to go! They teach them life skills and about the good Lord! Many are being helped that would have ended up on the streets or worse trafficked. They also have done much with good deliveries and medical hello through the Covid pandemic! This is a very worthy non-profit to support wing you join us! God bless GSG!
