I have worked with GrowNYC on public and in-house events over the past 2 years and have seen firsthand how committed they are to the work they do. I admire the high level of integrity and dedication that exists among the staff.
As New Yorkers we are all effected by GrowNYC's efforts, from the incredible Greenmarkets that encourage local, seasonal eating to recycling efforts in schools that educate future generations to work in community gardens that bring neighborhoods together, GrowNYC's efforts are necessary and making a big difference in our future as a city. I am honored to be a small part of such an important organization.

At EmblemHealth, we strive to help New York neighborhoods stay healthy. Our support of GrowNYC has helped us keep our commitment to New Yorkers with our sponsorship of their school tours to greenmarkets to educate students on the importance of nutritious foods in their diet and expose them to a variety of fresh produce. Our support of their greenmarkets allows us a perfect setting to demonstrate what care feels like as we share information on how to stay healthy and live well. GrowNYC is a dedicated and professional organization that is a pleasure to work with.

GrowNYC is far and away the best and most effective organization I have had the pleasure of working with. In fact, once brought on the board at GrowNYC, I reduced my efforts with other boards so I can focus all my attention to GrowNYC.

Under Marcel & his team, GrowNYC has delivered results with resources they have and have created a vision for the organization that did not previously exist.

As an employee of GreenThumb, the division of NYC Parks and Recreation responsible for providing technical and material support to school and community gardens, GrowNYC has been a vital partner in helping meet the challenges of garden projects, and particularly through their role with Grow to Learn NYC. Across its various programs, GrowNYC has proven itself to be a reliable and effective leader in the greening of New York City.

I've been a volunteer with GROWNYC for almost 3 years. Their recycling and greening initiatives are helping keep NYC green, which as a native New Yorker is important to me. I think their programs really help the community and I've seen first hand what a difference planing a community garden can make. I'm grateful that they've forged the way for such recycling initiatives like textile recycling at the green market. I think they're really making a difference in NYC.

I have worked with GrowNYC for 3 years and appreciate the service they provide New Yorkers. The most visible success and the bedrock of the organization are the Greenmarkets they have organized and managed for over 40 years. Building upon the success of these markets, particularly the UNION SQUARE market, GrowNYC has developed several educational programs for the NY City public schools that introduce young children to healthy eating and nutritional information that will serve them well for life, information many are not exposed to in their homes or neighborhoods. I support their educational initiatives and look for opportunities to volunteer when possible. Their business practices are admirable and the continued creative approach to finding answers for what others describe as intractable issues is an approach that I admire and believe will help lead our City to a better future.
