Mission: The mission of the organization is to encourage public awareness by receiving contributions and in turn making donations to, and otherwise aiding and supporting grossmont college. Effective july 1, 2011, the foundation for grossmont and cuymaca colleges (fgcc), the successor organization of grossmont college foundation (gcf), began operations as the supporting organization for both colleges in the grossmont-cuyamaca community college distict. To that end, gcf transferred certain assets to the new foundation. Gcf plans to transfer its remaining assets to fgcc and complete the corporate dissolution process in 2012-13.
