GREY2K USA Education Fund is terrific. Their efforts to close racetracks and sponsor dogs for adoption is amazing. I hope they eradicate racing from the globe.

The GREY2K USA Education Fund works tirelessly to expose the cruelty of greyhound racing and promote the adoption of these sweet dogs! They partner with adoption groups to fund transport, vet care and shelter costs to help greyhound find homes.

There are few nonprofits that are truly there for the animals, GREY2K is one! Not only do they save animals lives, but they educate the public about what they do and why they do it. They are active in trying to change laws to further help these sweet beings, not only here in the USA but all around the world. This is an organization you can feel good about donating to.

Grey2K's never ending work to put a stop to the disgusting "sport" of dog racing in the US and over the world has made such a huge impact!!! Their work is so, so important and they have made such great progress, on all fronts: 1. educating people of how horrifying dog racing really is and the sweet and gentle nature or greyhounds; 2. promoting adoption and 3. changing laws to stop legal dog racing.
Grey2K brought an initiative to the state of Florida, to be voted on in a general election and thus put an end to dog racing in that whole state, which had the most dog tracks of any US state! That work really speaks for itself!
People don't realize that Greyhounds, as a breed, are such sweet, gentle and sensitive dogs. The public in general is also unaware of the horrifying treatment of racing dogs. They just think "oh, they love to run", and that ignorance has been exploited for so many years. The GREY2KUSA Education Fund does great work to promote knowledge and appreciation of the greyhound breed. They turn the vast majority of their income right around and into programs with direct impacts on the greyhounds. While the GREY2KUSA Education Fund doesn't adopt greyhounds, they do support and promote the adoption efforts of other groups. Their funding of investigations has revealed disturbing behaviors by the industry that otherwise would have gone unknown, hidden from public scrutiny. The "Greyhounds in the Classroom" program promotes literacy, animal welfare, and respect for animals in a lively and engaging way that kids love.

Grey2K USA Education Fund, in association with its parent organization, Grey2KUSA Worldwide is an organization dedicated to educating people about the horrors of the greyhound racing industry. Greyhounds are treated horribly, forced to live in cages up to 22 hours a day in crates in which they can barely lie down, fed diseased meat, denied veterinary care if they are injured, and unless they have an adoption center on site, are killed because they are too slow. I learned about their plight through these organizations and will always donate until all the world's tracks are closed forever. One of the finest organizations I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Thank you Christine, Carey and all your volunteers!

So many people have no idea how greyhounds actually live at racetracks. They do an amazing job educating the public about the cruel practices.

Time and time again the dog racing industry has failed: from killing dogs, to live lure training, to using drugs on the poor greyhounds. I tried being understanding of the racing industry's side of the story at first, but finally was done with them after seeing lie after lie exposed.

Thank goodness Grey2K is getting the word out. It's not propaganda, it is the truth. I am constantly amazed at how well the information is researched and presented. Don't take my word for it, spend a few minutes on their website!

I have visited the offices of Grey2kusa and found them welcoming to my questions about their cause. They provided lots of hard evidence that supported their contentions about the abuse racing dogs receive. I also looked them up on Guide Star which had information about how funds contributed are used. Grey2k had a low percent of administrative costs, most money going to their advocacy work. That is very good, to my mind. I think the leadership of the charity is hard-working and very effective in their legislative work to ban dog racing in the US. I would recommend this charity to any dog lover or animal advocate.

I live is South Florida and I regularly conduct greyhound presentations at schools in Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties. I talk to the children about dog racing and the need for adoption of these beautiful and gentle dogs.

The grey2k usa education fund is exactly this...we, in the U.S., are a dog culture, and even though we all love them, there is this one breed that few really know about. And that is the most loving and charming and attention-wanting...the greyhound. This group reaches out in so many ways, and makes sure that whoever they communicate with fully understands the exceptional sensitivities of the greyhound and their want and love of human companionship. And in so doing, they make sure that greyhounds are NEVER overlooked in the Adoptable Dogs listings...and because of this, more greyhound DO find loving homes.

Grey2K USA's Education Fund has helped change minds across the state of Florida. Greyhound racing has a long history in the state and it is not uncommon to find individuals and families that hold dear the practice as a favorite pastime. But the tide has been changing thanks very much in part to the Education Fund's work to expose the abuses that occur at these tracks and reach the communities where these tracks still operate.

Grey2K USA's Education Fund wisely uses resources to organize support and spread awareness throughout the state. Their High Stakes report was a game changer - putting the horrors of greyhound racing into easily consumable facts and figures, making every greyhound lover an effective greyhound advocate.

I have been aware of the GREY 2K USA organization for many years and donate to this honorable, very trustworthy organization whenever I can.
They are truly amazing in the work that they do; helping innocent greyhounds find freedom and happie , healthier lives after the horrible time the dogs endured while being forced to race at the greyhound tracks that still exist.
I am so amazed at the work the staff has done in helping to terminate greyhound racing in many states, and their mission to keep the fight up to continue to help these innocent animals and bring them to safety.

The GREY2K USA Education Fund has been a constant support for our greyhound adoption group, FINGER LAKES ADOPT A GREY(FLAAG). They have provided materials for us to go to libraries for presentations to children as well as adults. Every summer FLAAG is a guest lecturer at the Tompkins County SPCA. GREY 2K USA Education Fund supplies us with written material and "goodies" for the day campers(approx. 100 children). They have been a "greyt" resource for our group and provides us with a sounding board in regards to banning greyhound racing. FLAAG is proud to be associated with this wonderful group!

The help the Grey2K USA Education fund provided when Tucson Greyhound Park in Arizona closed was a god send. There are many happy hounds tonight as a result. Great Work!

I find Grey2KUSA Worldwide to be a focused, reliable, responsible group of advocates who care about the welfare of the dogs they are trying to protect. They have to put up with unrelenting abuse and falsehoods levied against them by those who make money from the dog racing industry and those who have been sadly convinced that there is nothing wrong with making money from the dog racing business. Yet through all of the abuse they must tolerate, they continue to turn the other cheek and just keep doing their good works, never ever letting themselves be tempted to drop to the level of those who try to tear them down. They have my greatest respect and gratitude.

I began supporting Grey2KUSA several years ago after adopting our first two greyhounds. They have a heart for these wonderful dogs. Grey2KUSA works worldwide to end Greyhound racing. Dogs are pets, not livestock, and Grey2K makes that point over and over, putting a spotlight on the unnecessary injuries and deaths that dog racing results in. Donations to them are always put to great use.

I find that Grey2K USA does a fabulous job of bringing awareness about the dismal plight of racing greyhounds to the general public who would otherwise be unaware of the ugly truth of greyhound racing. As a volunteer with greyhound rescue groups in Australia, and a greyhound adopter and foster carer, I believe we desperately need organisations like Grey2K that work with rescue groups to help end the cause of all the wastage (unwanted greyhounds) from the industry, as well as educating people on how fabulous it is to save a greyhound and give them a far better life than what they had. If it weren't for Grey2K there would be more greyhound racing, more on and off track carnage, more over-breeding of dogs, more wastage and less adoptions. Coming from the advertising industry I know full well the work and costs involved to bring information into the public eye. May they continue their great work to end greyhound racing worldwide.

These people have worked tirelessly and successfully in the fight to end the abomination that is Greyhound racing.

Grey2kusa are friends of mine in greyhound rescue we know each other as there is a worldwide rescue of greyhounds going on. We hear of greyhounds in Australia,New Zealand,England,Ireland Scotland,USA,South Africa and other remote places. Greyhounds are in need everywhere we look and personally I think that an organisation such as Grey2kusa deserve all the praise they get as well as a glowing review for the important work they do for the greyhounds alerting as many as possibel to their plight. Don´t bet on the greyhounds don´t go to the tracks and when you need a companion look no futher let a greyhound melt into your heart. I did and have no regrets.

The GREY2K USA Education Fund plays an important role in educating the community about the cruelty inflicted on dogs in the greyhound racing industry. Its education programs are professionally developed and have informed thousands across the country about this major animal welfare problem. The Fund also promotes greyhound adoption to directly save the lives of dogs abandoned by the racing industry. I can highly recommend it to anybody that cares about animals.

I have been involved with the GREY2K USA Education Fund for 13 years, ever since I adopted my first greyhound and began to learn of the cruelty of greyhound racing. I have watched the growth of the organization and the impact it has had through in-depth research of the abuses of the racing industry, public education and outreach to children in libraries and schools. Through raising public awareness of the brutality of the "sport" and promoting adoption, it has saved countless greyhound lives.

My wife and I became aware of Grey2K and their mission to end the cruel and inhumane "sport" of greyhound racing back in 2004. We became volunteers and donors when Carey visited Florida to advocate for the defeat of Amendment 4 which was going to help pave the way for slot machines and help the tracks recoup profits that were being lost while maintaining their dog racing (unfortunately it passed). As ardent dog lovers and animal advocates we believed in their mission and in the sincerity and passion they showed towards achieving it. We realize what amazing and gentle creatures these greyhounds are and continue to sympathize with their plight. We don't believe that any animal should be used for entertainment and that no one should be able to profit from their exploitation. There's a reason that greyhound racing is illegal, or was never made legal, in 38 states.

I believe that there are people out there writing comments to try to make Grey2k look bad by saying
that they do not help adoptions of greyhounds enough.
Grey2k is set up to "end racing", there are many groups out there who are set up to take in and adopt out greyhounds.
But is only one non profit that i know of, "Grey2k" who is set up to stop racing.

If no one stops it, when will these poor creatures ever have normal lives
like other breeds of dogs enjoy?

I have reviewed this charity on "Guidestar.org" and Making $41,500/yr is not what I call getting rich. Traveling to "work" to close down other tracks in other states or countries is not fun or glamorous.
I have traveled in my own job, it stinks. This group's Mission is to "end racing", not to adopt out greyhounds, there is an abundance of groups who do that. There is only one group "Grey2k" who
is actually trying to to stop racing so that this vicious cycle of cruelty can end.

I was there in Massachusetts when it ended. Less than 200 dead end ,close to or at minimum wage jobs
were lost and one big corrupt thug got put out of business! That was about 10 tears ago. Think
about how many dogs were not bred for that track and didn't suffer years of abuse at the hands of
those greedy owners since then! Now whose the bad guy? Not Grey2k!

I have been adopting greyhounds since 1994. These dogs are the sweetest creatures! They don't deserve to be exploited by the racing industry. GREY2K has been doing wonderful work, helping to legislate against racing, educating the public about racing greyhounds and promoting adoption!!

After teaching for 30 years within the public school system in Albuquerque, New Mexico, I retired and am now working as the Education Director for Animal Protection of New Mexico. The Grey2K USA Education Fund has been overwhelmingly helpful and generous in supplying beautifully illustrated books for primary grade children in my Humane Education programs. "Pele's Forever Home" tells the story of a racing greyhound who dreams about a forever home, with a family, away from the track. The story is a precious one, and elicits empathy from the children for all dogs looking for their forever homes. The children gather in a circle and read out loud to Rico, my rescued greyhound (now therapy dog). Rico does not judge his readers' abilities, but basks in the comfort of their little hands reaching out to touch him, pet him, as they read about his "friend" Pele. This books have been donated by GREY2K USA Education Fund by the hundreds and each child is allowed to keep his/her copy and share it with his/her family. This program is in highly disadvantaged neighborhoods, where books would not typically find their way into the students' home. What an incredible gift to these children and what an incredibly caring message it delivers.

Thank God for the GREY2K USA Education Fund; I can't think of another group that is so dedicated to its mission within the greyhound welfare world. The group has grown in size and scope since I first became involved as an advocate, donor and volunteer. They are still relatively small, but I am impressed by the level of professionalism, quality of resources and dedication to the mission of educating the public about the rampant abuses within the greyhound racing industry.

The racing industry has some very outspoken supporters, but they do not have the data to back up their claims. GREY2K Education Fund has performed and acquired huge amounts of data, reports, studies, and public records, as well as anecdotal evidence from people who have now turned their backs on the industry.

I trust their information completely and have used it in presentations and letter-writing campaigns to lawmakers around the world.

I have been a volunteer and supporter of Grey2kusa since the late 1990's about when they formed. I met and come to know the two founders, Christine and Carey, and they are the most professional, honorable people working on behalf of improving the lives of greyhounds. As an animal lover and guardian of several rescued dogs, we know what many of these dogs go through and the life of a racing greyhound is not a happy one. As an animal advocate I have dealt with many animal groups and I have found that Christine and Carey and the rest of the staff at Grey2k make greyhounds and their well being their first priority! I have nothing but praise for this organization.

I 100% support this group for it's efforts to stop inhuman treatment of greyhound dogs. They have made a great impact of dog racing in Massachusetts and in doing so have reduced the cruel treatment of dogs in the racing industry.

GREY2K has worked tirelessly on behalf of the Greyhounds. I am a supporter of their Education Fund which spreads the word through educational outreach and special public events. I, as well as my organization, have learned a great deal about the lives of greyhounds and how they are inhumanely treated in kennels and racetracks nationwide for the pleasure/entertainments of others.

Having been involved in greyhound rescue since 1992 and seeing the abuse and neglect so common in the dog racing industry, I was thrilled to see the formation of GREY2K USA in the late nineties. These dogs need advocates to help end their suffering. I knew long ago that we needed to start educating people about the plight of the racing greyhound. The work GREY2K USA Education Fund has so successfully introduced is proving to be one of the most effective programs in teaching children the importance of kindness to animals. Thanks to GREY2K USA Education Fund, children across the country are learning exploitation of animals is the opposite of compassion.

They masquerade as a 501c3 but are in fact a 501c4 since they carry both designations. Your donations are not spent on what you believe they are spent on, that is helping greyhounds. They are spent on their 501 c4 and its administration. That is where the money actually goes.

Grey2KUSA.org ACTUALLY gets the numbers from the tracks themselves when they report them to the states, as required by law in some states. So, NO, their numbers are as far from made up as your claims of the innocence of Grey racing is from the truth. As you said (as a racing supporter), when you get your numbers from a skewed source... Do you people EVER read this stuff through before posting it? My word, Swiss cheese can only DREAM of having so many holes! As for GPI, I feel they are a great group. They have wonderful things for one particular Grey who holds the most special place in my heart. However, they are only "neutral" on racing because most tracks REFUSE TO ADOPT OUT TO GROUPS WHO OPENLY OPPOSE GREY RACING! Any questions as to who is telling the truth and who is lying to protect their immoral industry? Video evidence provided by the tracks refuting their own claims, or an organization awarded nationally for being best at non-profit work. Hmmm....I wonder who the more trustworthy group is?

I find it very interesting that any time someone has a negative review of this group, Carey2 chimes in that the review is not based on facts, and is part of some sort of "conspiracy" by "dog racing supporters". I don't understand how one group can have so little impact on an industry, yet maintain such a hatred for it. I donated to Grey2k to help greyhounds. I later found out that 0% of the money I gave helped a greyhound find a home. Once I researched grey2k's literal message; ending greyhound racing, not nessisarly helping greyhounds, I found that they take credit for many track closures they had nothing to do with, such as the ones in colorado and wisconsin. I'm inpartial to greyhound racing, but I've found that donating to groups that are neutral like myself, or even pro racing, have the dogs in mind more then grey2k, who's only goal seems to be putting people out of work, then putting dogs in households.

the negative reviews by individuals about this charitable orginization is disgusting! these negative people are obviously involved in the racing industry and are being prodded to write this bs about Grey2K to hopefully discourage donations and volunteers for them! But i know first hand Grey2K are wonderful and are doing great work in trying to end greyhound racing everywhere and I hope for the greyhounds and the many supporters of this campaign they succeed!

Volunteering for GREY2K has been a wonderful experience. I began volunteering for this organization a few months ago as one of their social media correspondents. Since then, I've learned a lot about what they do for the greyhounds. They try their best to let the people know the facts about these amazing animals and how badly they are treated in the racing industry. They are extremely committed to their cause and have already saved many greyhounds. Additionally, they are very good about not getting carried away with their opinions and what they say; they are very positive and never offensive as far as I've seen. They let people know what the facts are, and I really like that. Keep up the great work GREY2K!

Grey2K USA is one of my favorite charities they do fantastic work in speaking out against dog racingand education about dog racing. They have saves countless greyhounds who have been used up and spit out by the racing industry Grey2K USA will go anywhere they are needed to help dogs they are a fantastic organization truly worthy of suppoort from myself and countless others

There is no doubt that when animals are used for exploitation to make money for humans there is ALWAYS abuse. Whether it be dog racing, horse racing, dog fighting, etc., etc. As far as the greyhounds, you have to be pretty stupid not to believe they are abused. From the time they are born to the time they stop making money at the track they are abused. Where do all the slow puppies go and where do all the losers go??? There are not enough rescue groups to save them all. However, with the help of Rescue groups that adopt out dogs and save them from the track to organizations like Grey2K who educate and try to abolish the tracks, both have different ways of helping the dogs. Grey2K is no in the business of finding homes for the greyhounds, like the groups who do find homes for the ones that can be saved. Grey2K is a tremendous help in educating the public on how badly these dogs endure a horrible life and most of all they try to get the tracks closed down. They do one part of greyhound rescue and the adopters do another. You need both. You can't have one without the other. Most rescue organizations are too busy trying to save the dogs before the tracks kill the dogs and don't have time trying to close down tracks or change legislation, that where Grey2K comes in. Grey2K has worked untiringly throughout the world, educating people about animal welfare, but more importantly bringing awareness of the concept of animal rights. The old format of animals for entertainment is no longer acceptable. As the world in many other arenas seeks peace and reconciliation of diverse thinking, the validity of animals as toys is dying. However, those who seek monetary gain at any cost are still promoting heinous deeds and professions. Awareness is exposing these societal elements, often causing a backlash of anger and mendacity. Grey2K stands in the forefront as a role model for all effective and humane activities; especially for the knowledgeable youth in the world who, via internet data, are no longer accepting of cruelty to animals and no longer gullible about entrepreneurial schemes at the sacrifice of others.

It is my understanding that the mission of this group is to EDUCATE the public on the Criminality of greyhound racing. The inhumane practices that are bestowed on these beautiful,loving creatures is appalling. Grey2K is doing just that in my area. (SW Folrida). I volunteer with another animal rescue group and I see the Grey2K folks at many animal events doing thier best to educate the publib on this dog's plight. If you can not wrap your head around this , try imagining YOUR OWN PRECIOUS PET in the same situation.That is harnessed,taunted and forced to live in small cages when not on the track.Animal racing is wrong on every level.

It's obvious from reading the negative comments that the authors are folks associated with racetracks. Grey2K USA Education Fund is a wonderful organization. Dedicated to helping greyhounds and educating the public about the realities of greyhound racing. Explain to me how anyone can enjoy watching animals being used for profit?? These dogs are forced to race and endure many injuries some that kill them.......so what is the thrill? If you want to gamble go to Vegas!!

Not impressed with the organization. Spends more time, money, efforts touting lies and spewing misinformation about greyhound treatment than they do working FOR the Greyhounds. It's like watching Fox News and expecting an unbiased opinion. If you want to know how the dogs are treated, talk to the rescue organizations. The FOUNDERS of those organizations. Talk to them about the treatment of the dogs. And remember - unhappy dogs, beaten dogs, unfed dogs - don't race well. Grey2K goals are disingenuous to the true spirit of what greyhound rescue is all about.

In various ways, I have been a volunteer for GREY2K USA for a bit over ten years. GREY2K USA is focused exclusively on helping the racing greyhounds by eliminating dog racing through legislative means. During this time, I have come to know both Carey and Christine personally. I feel I know their work ethic and values. I have also been impressed with their personal integrity and prudent management of donor funds. They are very careful with money. Their whole lives are devoted to this single and worthy cause. Simply stated, I admire Carey and Christine personally and what they stand for.

The Grey2K Education fund is a fund to send the Staff on vacation for research. It is amazing how many trips must be done for research out of this country. England and India just to name 2 and I am sure there are more. A pitiful amount is ever donated to helping greyhounds find new homes after a track closes down and shouldn't that be the focus, the care of the greyhounds, but they don't care. They are only after getting more donations to continue their vacations and support their homes.

You are so tiresome, Carey2, Carey2 is incorrect. The comment made to my review is not true. I am not part of the racing community. I only do retired racing adoption. We are a small group and run on a shoestring budget. We actually help the dogs. We do not get paid. In fact, we spend much of our own money directly to benefit the greyhounds. What I said is true. I asked for a grant to help with some medical expenses for our greyhounds in fostering. It is true I as immediately 'defriended' by Grey2k for asking for help and asking questions. Carey2 is copy & pasting the same comment to everyone who disagrees with him without checking the facts (as usual). I have a very low tolerance for people who say they are helping greyhounds and then pay themselves huge salaries and take lavish trips abroad. From my original post: I do adoption for retired racing greyhounds. GREY2K does nothing to help any of the organizations that actually deal with the greyhounds. I have worked in greyhound adoption since 1991. I worked as an individual and also with groups, with trainers, and with kennels. During that time, I have seen Grey2K start up and write up lies about what they do, in order to gain people's sympathy (and money) for their own gain. They spend very little toward helping adoption groups; in fact, they have actually hindered greyhound adoption at times. They are also actively involved in lobbying in several states, using money that many people think 'goes to help the dogs' when in reality it goes to help those who operate it. They are NOT compassionate but abusers of sympathetic people. They have used pictures that are very outdated, and some have been faked. You can look at Guidestar to see what kind of percentages of their money goes to help greyhound groups and what else the money is used for. It is NOT an acceptable percentage to be considered a charitable non-profit organization when the 'owners' of Grey2K make money in excess of 300,000.

Grey2k are nothing but money collectors and destroyers. They use outdated pictures and phoney videos in order to garner donations from well-meaning people. They destroyed thousands of lives and jobs in MA, a state with 100% adoption. And, yes, I am a pro-racing supporter!

Grey2k USA uses lies and propaganda about the greyhound racing industry to collect donations for their political lobby group. The operators of this "non-profit" (Christine Dorchak and her "husband" Carey Theil) rake in hundreds of thousands of dollars each year. Less than 1.5% of that has been used for greyhound adoption and welfare. The rest is for salary and benefits for themselves, as well as travel, entertainment and 'miscellaneous expenses" incurred throught the year.

Grey2KUSA is strictly a political lobbying group with strong ties to anti-gambling. The operate under the guise that greyhound racing is cruel and inhumane which enables them to collect millions of dollars via donations to help the plight of the greyhound. In reality, less than one per cent goes to actually help greyhounds. Grey2K does no adoptions, but rather recommends adoption groups of their choice, they give no support for food, transportation, housing of dogs in need. The groups they choose must support their policy and agenda. In early years they were rather forthright about doing nothing for the dogs, and just recently have decided tho include "adoption" - but still do not donate any sizeable amounts to helping dogs......It is easier to dupe people into giving money when the pity quotient reaches the supersonic level. By promoting their agenda with misquotes, partial truths and relentless "high fives" heaped upon themselves, they have convinced people to vilify an entire industry, the people who work with in and anything associated with greyhound racing. Contrary to the belief by followers Grey2KUSA has not ended greyhound racing in any states.....

Over the past 15 years, I have adopted four ex racing greyhounds. They are gentle, faithful, loving creatures and all they ask from life is a loving home, good food, walks and a comfortable bed. They are not demanding dogs, they rarely bark and they are accepting of any treatment meted out to them. This makes them ideal for the hell that is the life of the racing dog. They are fed the bare minimum and often sleep in cages, stacked two high. It is a miserable life. They are brought out for training and for racing and that's it. No affection, no cuddles and I've even heard of some trainers who remove the water bowls if the dogs knock them over more than once. What sort of life is this? These dogs make wonderful pets and my son, who is on the autistic spectrum, adores our current 'girls', Amber, Rosie and Cleopatra. They have brought a whole new dimension into our lives and I believe Christine and all at GREY2K USA deserve recognition and support. They do sterling work, bringing to people's attention the plight of the racing greyhound, working to get the whole hideous so called 'sport' banned, both in the US and in the UK. Go go go GREY2K USA, go go go Christine, you are doing wonderful work and I am a huge fan of yours!

Grey2KUSA is a group of incredibly intelligent people who understand that Greyhound racing is a cruel and inhumane practice that needs to be phased out. In order to do this, laws need to be changed and Grey2KUSA has the capacity to see this through. They are relentless in their quest for doing this, and doing it correctly and diplomatically.

This group does not donate any money to Greyhound Adoption and or the welfare of the dogs. They do not help with placing dogs when tracks close. They keep all donations for themselves and it goes to their pockets. Check out there tax forms, online and open to the public to see where your donated money really goes. All the info they spread is very old and have not ever taken the time to visit with dog owners, visit farms and kennels and get current with the news. Watch where your money is donated to. Grey2K USA and it's subsidiary Grey2K USA Education Fund has taken in millions of dollars over the last decade under the guise of helping greyhounds. By "helping" they mean traveling around the country and the world on their donors' dime preaching about how greyhound racing is cruel and inhumane, yet offering no substantial assistance directly to the greyhound community. For instance, recently several Florida tracks closed for the season and approximately 280 hounds needed to be housed, fed and transported to various adoption groups in a few weeks time. Despite widespread publicity, where was Grey2K with their fat wallets helping to buy food and pay haulers? Grey2K would like the general public to believe that mass euthanization still exists in these cases. By helping, it would destroy their illusion. They like to imply that they were responsible for closing over half of the greyhound tracks in the US over the last twelve years, when in fact those tracks closed for many reasons including casino issues, tax issues and the general poor economy. Maybe I just don’t like the way you operate and manipulate the truth to fleece unsuspecting donors out of their hard earned dollars for your salary and operating expenses. The information on your website and “fact sheets” is outdated, exaggerated, intentionally misleading and, as you’re so fond of stating “not factually accurate.” So you made donations to seven non-profit organizations since 2009 – to that I say BIG WHOOP! There are nearly 300 adoption groups in the US and you gave to seven. Wow, I just don’t know what to say about your overwhelming generosity! ***

Grey2k is a joke! Its a bunch of people who really have no clue what happens at a track or in a kennel. Talk to someone in the industry to get a true outlook before passing judgement. These people dont help greyhounds in need of help either. You really want to help give your money to local Greyhound Adoption Group or OSU to try to come to a cure for cancer. Furthermore the only reason these comments are still here to read is because G2K cant figure out how to delete or block us "supporters"from speaking the truth. Carey if you have been in racing kennels in the recent past then you would know first hand that you and your sounterparts are doing nothing but lying to the public to get the all mighty $$$$$$

This group does nothing but lie to the public about what they stand for. And what they do stand for is money, money, money, to line their greedy pockets. They take from people who don't know they are being duped into giving money for a cause that isn't there. I and others would like to know how a group can exist legally in America. Lies and deceit is the only thing this poor excuse of a group is about. Sorry Mr. Carey, I'm in greyhound adoption. We educate, and find homes for them when they retire. How many have you placed, or even helped. And we don't lie to get donations like your so called organization does. We've seen the proof of what you do, so you cannot deny it, it's everywhere you don't want the truth to be.

Fantastic organization that finally ended dog racing in MA. They are committed to exposing and ending the atrocities of racing nationally and internationally.

When I think about GREY 2K USA, the song that comes to mind is "Nobody Does It Better" composed by Marvin Hamlisch with lyrics by Carole Bayer Sager and recorded by Carly Simon. It has been one success after another for Greyhounds because of this organization. So many Greyhounds have been spared injury and death because of GREY 2K USA, and there are thousands of Greyhounds in living rooms tonight that are relaxing with loving human companions instead of living horrible lives and an uncertain fate.

Since finding out about the cruel fate and so-called sport of greyhound racing when I moved to Florida in 1985, I was so shocked and wanted to do something about it. I searched for many years to link up with a group that was organized, well-educated and totally dedicated to this one cause. I found some smaller group that unfortunately didn't have the knowledge or ability to really take one this issue, though they were well-meaning. I finally found GREY2KUSA in the late 90's, and found exactly what I was looking for in a group of people who were totally dedicated, educated and able to make changes for the greyhounds. These changes have been apparent, and through these years, I have been so happy to volunteer whatever time and effort I had to give to help in GREY2KUSA's efforts, as they completely follow-through on their actions.

As the adoptive parent of an ex-racing Greyhound I can honestly say that Grey2K USA is doing incredible work helping to end the cruelty and abuse that these sweet, gentle dogs experience at race tracks around the world. They help to educate the public as to what goes on at these tracks and expose the terrible conditions that these dogs must endure. They work hard not only to educate the public but also to help pass laws to shut down this cruel industry. Thanks to their efforts there are no longer any race tracks operating in any of the New England states. My own greyhound, Isis, broke 4 bones in her left hind foot coming around the second turn of her last race. She was one of the lucky ones and was put up for adoption. Most are not this lucky and are euthanized or in some cases forgotten in their cages when they no longer make a profit. Thank you Grey2K USA for your commitment and hard work. They certainly deserve to be at the top of the nonprofit list.

Grey2K USA has been responsible to bringing awareness Worldwide to the cruel and inhumane treatment of racing Greyhounds. They have been responsible for closing numerous race tracks and will continue the fight until every track is closed.

I became familiar with Grey2kusa back in the late 90's when they were working to make dog racing illegal in Mass. I learned of the horrible treatment of these gentle dogs by this organization. They do a wonderful job educating the public about the truth behind the scenes of dog racing. Keep up the good work!

This, is an essential service for greyhound advocacy, and every country that has greyhound racing, needs one.

I've staffed several education awareness tables at different events and I am always impressed with the materials that Grey2K USA offers the public for free to better understand the abuses and inhumanity that greyhound racing does to greyhounds. Their information is based on facts that help to better understand how greyhounds are abused and how the pro-greyhound racing individuals work deceptively to try and misinform the public about what really goes on in greyhound racing.
