My name is Lawrence Rostron. I am a retired Army veteran of the Vietnam war and former POW. I was incarcerated for thirty days in the Greeneville / Greene County Jail. I was sentenced to 30 days. I should have been released on Saturday October 7 2017 at 5:15PM. However, due to a mistake in time keeping, I was not released on time. The error was discovered and I was then released at 7 minutes after midnight. Because these 7 minutes caused the date to be October 8, I am being denied 2 months of Social Security benefits.
Let this be a warning to all veterans. You can bleed and die for this country but you will still be kicked and spit on by the very country you faithfully served.
