I have volunteered with the Green Mountain Energy Sun Club in a few various ways, both in volunteering at actual events / installations, and in helping various non-profits with creating compelling grant proposals. I have never had anything but wonderful experiences with everyone on the Sun Club team, and they are a community leader in promoting and enhancing local community sustainability projects around the country. Mission: Invest in nonprofits to advance sustainability for people and for the planet with a vision that all communities achieve long-term sustainability, with the quality of life and environmental resources necessary to thrive.
Results: Since 2002, we’ve been empowering local communities with sustainability solutions. Through nonprofit partnerships and sustainability grants, we’ve delivered projects promoting renewable energy, energy efficiency, resource conservation and environmental stewardship. As of 2019, we have donated over 8.9 million dollars across 122 unique projects. We anticipate celebrating our 10 millionth dollar donated in 2020.

Direct beneficiaries per year: We donated over 1.9 million dollars to 11 nonprofits throughout Texas and the Northeast in 2019. These donations spanned an array of different organization types, including Nature Conservation, Food Supply, Parks/Zoos, Universities/Schools, Health and Transportation.
