WETA serves the Washington, DC area with classical music programming, a welcome voice in a rather bleak radio environment (WETA is the well-regarded public radio station). As a frequent listener, I appreciate WETA's music, but I have trouble accepting the enormous compensation of its President/CEO: Sharon Percy Rockefeller. Given her great wealth from both the Percy and Rockefeller families, I have difficulty contributing when I know it will go directly into her coffers. I would think a sense of modesty would cause her to accept substantially less that $366,000 plus. I would, of course, appreciate an opposing view.
