Mission: The pittsburgh film office is an economic development organization charged with marketing western pennsylvania to the film industry.
Programs: The greater pittsburgh office of promotion (the film office) was established to support the pittsburgh region's economic development program by communicating the region's physical and economic transformation and high quality of life to local, national, and international audiences. The film office was created to help the growing film industry in western pennsylvania. The film office assists production companies with location scouting, area and resource identification, logistical planning, and problem solving.
