I have been on the Board of Directors at the Greater Nashua Habitat for Humanity since 2021 and I am currently serving as the Vice President. We have constructed two homes for female veterans and their families at Paxton Terrace in Nashua and our current build is for another family on Granite Street in Nashua. It is exciting to see the interest in the contracting community growing each year in support of our projects. Our build crew is all volunteers, many of them retired from their careers. They are to be commended for their dedication to their work at this nonprofit. 2024 marks the 30th anniversary of GNHFH and I hope you will join us at our anniversary celebration at Nashua Country Club on November 16th.

I’ve had the pleasure of volunteering with this affiliate for the past 10+ years both as a board member and part this amazing build crew. Eric has lead this crew for over 19 years and many of our core crew have been together for 8+ years. We are all here for the same reasons. Provide a safe affordable home to a deserving family and giving them an opportunity to be a homeowner. People are amazed how beautiful our homes are. There is so much pride that goes into
Every project we do. We miss having groups helping out on projects because after 1 day on site they walk away knowing they did something that made a difference in the lives of families. Many volunteers from groups come back on their own because they want to help some more and because they had so much fun with us. We are very entertaining. come out and see for yourself.

Over the past year I have come to know many of the people involved with Greater Nashua Habitat for Humanity, and have helped out when I can. I consider myself very lucky to have gotten the opportunity to meet everyone from employees, volunteers and the Board of Directors. They all selflessly give to this organization and have a passion for helping others. It takes a special person to dedicate so much of themselves and their time to helping others, and Greater Nashua Habitat for Humanity is filled with these special people.

For 8 years I have had the honor of serving on the board of directors at GNHFH. I have seen this organization complete multiple projects that have helped deserving families own their own home and provide much-needed home repairs to seniors who cannot afford costly updates. The board of directors has a strong commitment to the organization and is always willing to step up and support the mission of GNHFH. The organization is blessed with many volunteers who give countless hours to help keep things running smoothly. I would like to give a special thanks to the build crew who have worked tirelessly on each home building project and critical home repairs. I am especially grateful for how GNHFH has worked with single mothers to provide homeownership opportunities. The current project in Nashua will provide a new home for two female vets and their children. I am looking forward to the day when these women will be able to move into their own clean and safe home. This organization is well run and everyone is committed to serving the Greater Nashua Community.

I have had the honor of serving on the Greater Nashua Habitat for Humanity Board for over two years. I am truly amazed by all the wonderful volunteers and staff who work so hard to provide safe and affordable housing to families in need and for the generous and thoughtful donations made by local businesses and individuals. Seeing the progress our volunteers and construction crew make each week to build not one but two homes for Veteran Families in Nashua has been amazing. The families have had the opportunity to work alongside these volunteers to help build their future home which makes this so special and a community event..... Neighbors helping Neighbors! I am looking forward to seeing the smiles on the children's faces when the keys to their new home are handed over to their family.

It has truly been an honor and privilege to have been able to serve on Greater Nashua Habitat's Board for 6+ years. In that short time, I've seen it grow from an organization with one part-time employee and a handful of volunteers to one that today is building two homes simultaneously for 2 Veteran families. The greatest moments for this Board Member are to see the dedication of so many of our volunteers and the looks on the faces of our families when we turn over the keys to their new home that they helped to build.

I've volunteered on the construction crew for this local Habitat affiliate for over 20 years. It builds one-plus home(s) per year, working a couple days a week. Construction includes demolition through framing, insulation, trim, paint, fixtures, and landscaping - everything less the plumbing and electrical work we contract out to licensed professionals. Construction crews learn multiple trade skills under the tutelage of more experienced workers. Daily progress is always visible / identifiable, and therefore rewarding on its own. The outcome is simple, decent, affordable duplex or single-family housing for existing and prospective homeowners. The nonprofit provides hard-working families a hand up to a better life. Seeing joy in those families' eyes is most rewarding... from enabling a parent to go outside on their own to watch their children, through children getting their own room for the first time, to seeing families established in an appropriate and safe home. And if construction isn't your interest, the nonprofit (with the ensuing tax / organizational administration slots) is also a real estate entity (acquiring land to build on), a financial counselor (for its former renter clients becoming homeowners), and a bank (issuing and holding the mortgages for its clients).

I have been involved with Greater Nashua Habitat for Humanity for over 12 years in different volunteer capacities It is an organization of dedicated volunteers, staff and board members all strongly committed to providing homes for low income families. All of us are powered by the knowledge we are providing homeownership to families that could not ever achieve this American dream without our efforts.

Habitat for Humanity has always been dear to my heart and I have attended a few events for Greater Nashua Habitat for Humanity and I’ve got to say I have met so many incredible people that volunteer here since I got involved almost 2 years ago. The best part is when you see a hardworking parent receive the key to the home their young children will grow up in you will be overcome with emotion because you know this family has come a long way and can now thrive! 5 stars!!
