Mission: Greater lansing food bank helps feed the hungry by raising contributions to purchase food and by seeking donations of food and non-food items and distributing them to qualified, tax-exempt organizations.
Programs: Food distribution - greater lansing food bank's core program is large-scale distribution of food to over 130 partner agencies, which then provide assistance to more than 100,000 individuals annually throughout a 7-county service area. 8,888,969 pounds of food were distributed during the fiscal year.

the garden project and lansing roots - these programs offer resource support to grow and training opportunities relating to growing techniques, business planning and marketing for limited resource or socially disadvantaged individuals. Tools, water, access to land and land prep, support, seeds and training are provided by the food bank. 931 households were served at 125 community garden sites and 1 incubator farm.
