Mission: The foundation contributes to the economic development and economic vitality of the community by working collaboratively with and in support of the chamber of commerce. It advises chamber members and the broader community by guiding and participating in programs and initiatives related to: - human capital, education and workforce development. - research and strategic planning to guide the chamber of commerce policies related to business needs and economic development of the region. - business education and support for entrepreneurship. - fundraising: finding the resources to achieve chamber objectives and access funding opportunities. - special projects of strategic importance to the business community.

Offering esol,abe, hiset, computer applications, customer service, and nurseaide trainings and job placements, holyoke works helps hundreds ofpeople re-enter the area's workforce every year.

Tohelp place holyoke residents into holyoke employment, assist withjob search to local holyoke employment. Holyoke employment linkthrough careerpoint offers workshops, one-on-one assistance andguidance towards finding the right employment. Participants haveaccess to a resource center where you can use a computer lab toresearch job postings and use a variety of other options to findemployment.
spark: stimulating potential, accessing resource knowledge is a partnership of over ten community partners who collaborated to establish the framework for entrepreneurship education in holyoke. The goal of spark is to strengthen and grow the holyoke economy from within its own residents, which are often under-represented and have untapped potential to increase business and social ventures in the city and region. A secondary goal is to strengthen the role of holyoke and the holyoke innovation district in the larger entrepreneur ecosystem of western mass.
tutor/mentor program: recruits, trains and supports a pool of volunteers who work primarily in classrooms to assist those individuals who have left school or need to improve their skills, many of which are enrolled in adult basic education classes. These tutors help individuals fulfill their dreams and better their employment opportunities.
