Mission: The corporation is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes, more specifically to create performance art opportunities for youth.
Programs: Inov8 winter percussion auditions - the organization worked with 75 young musicians over two months to teach them the basics of the performance medium. Those young people get the opportunity to learn from staff from internationally acclaimed ensembles and work side by side with their peers from around the indiana and ohio valley region.
inov8 winter percussion ensemble - the organization selects a cast of 42 young musicians to create an original work over the course of 6 months. The ensemble benefits from learning from a skilled staff and working directly with the arranger and choreographer to better learn their craft.
inov8 winter percussion performances - the ensemble performs 7 times over the course of 6 months to present their production to third party adjudicators. Those adjudicators provide independent feedback to the ensembles and the 42 cast-members get the opportunity to process that feedback and work directly with talented artists to refine their production and in doing so learn to better communicate their art and develop crucial life skills.
