These people at GCOM in Six Lakes, MI believe it ok to be treated like crap by a store that is supposed to be doing outreach for people who need food. Instead of siding with the people they are supposed to be outreaching they deside to take the side of the store saying the customer was rude. This store that is called Our Family in Edmore, MI if you look at their reviews they have many reviews of how the staff at the store are rude and untrustworthy. My brother in-law is the store owners relative and he refuses to shop there due to their rude behavior. If you as an outreach program and church believe that people should be treated like less than by people that own a store than you are not worth anything at all. I see reviews for GCOM overcharging people as well. This is very shameful. My Uncle Bob McParland was a part of this Church and outreach program and it seems since he has passed this place has become trash. At this point if I could give you 0 stars I would and I will be having my sister and everyone else I know who has influencce online let everyone know just how GCOM and Our Family Foods operate
Dropped some dishes and plastic bags off today 2-17-2018. Went inside and purchased some items. The items were 8 coffee cups sign said 4/25cents so that would be 25 cents for 4 cups, 1 bead rack 50 cents, 1 zip bag with two items in it (unless otherwise marked 50 cents.......nothing marked on bag.), 1 small hardcover book 25cents and 1 paperback book 10cents. Now I show I owed $1.85 I was charged $3.00. When I went home to looked at my items I realized I was overcharged. They were closed by the time I realized this. Now this is not the first time this has happened. I let the first time pass I'm not willing to let this pass a second time. It has always been the same woman who over charges me. So much for her being a Good Christian!! We have donated a lot of good quality item to this place however it will be the last time and I can spend my money elsewhere also.
