The Global Gratitude Alliance is a forward thinking, holistically minded organization that has a mission of supporting impoverished women and children all over the world in addition to inspiring donors to give from a place of gratitude. A win-win. All donations to the organization go directly to the projects which are local organizations who truly understand the needs of their community. As a Board member, I am constantly impressed and inspired by our President, Amy Paulson, who runs our organization with a tremendous amount of passion and integrity.

I know GGA for several years now and I just can strongly recommend them! The donations are used to enable people around the globe to have a better life. I had the great opportunity to volunteer at Maisha's home in Kenya for 2,5 weeks in August this year. It was really impressive to see how the kids can grow up in a very familiar atmosphere. All kids are really grateful for this engagement and able to enjoy life. They love to learn, have dreams about their own future and they have a really good chance to make it come true. The don't have to take care about a home, food or any dangers around. They just can be kids. And this is possible with the effort of GGA (and of course Mama Maisha

I've known Global Gratitude Alliance for several years now. So I did not hesitate for a second when I had to suggest a charity to support through our charity activity at work. It is a pleasure to work with the team and their volunteers, because their dedication and professionality shines through in everything they do. Their projects are hand-picked and carefully chosen in order to allow the best personal supervision theiy can possibly give. Thus I never had the feeling my donations just go "anywhere", but I know that each of the projects has a worthyful cause and is regularely being monitored for its success and sustainability.

This is a non-profit that is deeply connected with the people they serve. I am in awe of their dedication to doing the right thing for the children that they work with. Their focus is unshakeable.
There have been a large number of lives that have been significantly improved because of the Global Gratitude alliance. I would, and do donate to them on a regular basis and will continue to do so the work they do is important.

After working side by side with Global Gratitude Alliance as I was volunteering for a different nonprofit in Ethiopia, it was an easy decision to choose to donate to their organization. I have seen the organization work in a variety of ways to make lasting impacts in the lives of the children they serve. The people that run this organization are so real, down to earth, and passionate about what they are doing. They are also extremely transparent, which ever donor likes to see!

Global Gratitude gave me one of life's most amazing experiences, it gave me the opportunity of 'giving' to the Ethiopian community without having to wonder whether my contribution had been reached those in need or been used in the most effective way because I was able to simply witness it.

The project in which I worked thanks to Global Gratitude alliance is called Maisha, and I worked in a Children’s Home as a volunteer.
Maisha is a locally registered orphanage located about 45 minutes East of Nairobi in the semi-rural village of Ruai. Maisha supports 22 children.
The best moment of my experience was also one of the saddest, and was when I left the home. I didn’t expect to tie up so much with the kids and all the people there. So when I saw all of them jumping on me and hugging me to greet me with unforgettable smiles, I realized that I was leaving my second family. They will all always be in my heart. I really have to thanks Global Gratitude Alliance and Amy for give me this opportunity, but especially for the work that they are doing in order to help a lot of people in a difficult situation.
I strongly recommend this experience and this organization!

I have seen this organisation grow from a small seed to a great flower, and the journey and growth continues. GGA are amazing at helping others who are deprived of basics. Over the years I have helped to raise funds which I know are always used in the best way possible. One day I hope to visit one of their project and volunteer myself. GGA keep doing what your great at, you are amazing and your helping so many!

My son had the wonderful opportunity to volunteer at the Maisha Home with Amy and Andy. He still talks about all the children and workers that he met, especially Mama. I love seeing the pictures of the smiling faces of these beautiful children. I was happy to hear that our donation would go towards the children's acrobatic and drum lessons because my son told me how excited the children were doing these activities.

Had the amazing opportunity to volunteer for this organization at the Maisha Home in Kenya. I am truly grateful for the experience and the connections I made with the loving people that run the home. The great work done by the Global Gratitude Alliance is shown through the big smiles of the children. Amy pours her heart into providing a better life for these children. Proud to say I was a part of this.

The work Amy and her team at the Gracias Foundation does is simply excellent. Every cent you donate is directly linked to the project you decide to support. The care, thought and diligence undertaken by the Gracias Team is not only thoroughly professional but also impressive. There are personal connections in whatever or wherever they decide to support and help, and it is always the most needy who are the beneficiaries.
What I really appreciate from Amy and her team, is the frequent updates and feedback (incl photos, videos...) so I always know what is being done and the I can witness the changes without having been there (yet). The fact that you are able to join the Gracias Team "on site" at some of the project locations is a fantastic way to really get involved. I have not been able to join such a volunteering expedition yet due to having a young child at home but I will be able to join hopefully very soon!!

The work that the Gracias Foundation is doing is grounded in a wonderful philosophy of gratitude and a mutual desire to be in relationship with those that they partner with. I am consistently deeply impressed by the quality of connection, the dedication to cultivating mutuality, equality and deep support. All the projects that i have witnessed that the foundation supports deeply benefit not only from the $$ amount that is donated to them- but truly they are impacted by the care, concern and heart of the foundation.

This is a great organization run by some great people who are really dedicated to making an impact on the lives of its recipients. It is inspiring to see how hard the people at Gracias Foundation work, and how important their mission is. Unlike with the huge non-profits, you can be confident that your donations are truly going straight to those who need it.

As an organization, the Gracias Foundation fills a vital role in the very populated world of non-profits: they run value-added projects which complement, not compete with, an existing non-profit's mission and purpose. For example, a non-profit might already have their hands full keeping food on the table and clothing on the kids, so Gracias will focus on raising money for a much needed van and library.

As a volunteer, the Gracias Foundation is the first non-profit I have worked with where you aren't immediately pigeonholed in to one role. They welcome you to dream up projects and ideas, and when they make sense, they also allow you the freedom to run with them. You receive the information you need to make educated decisions as a true part of the Foundation, not just a volunteer.

The Gracias Foundation is active in some very difficult and socially sensitive areas of the world. Above all else, they are incredibly respectful of cultural and existing conditions, and don't pretend or act like a superhero. They walk their talk, mission, and purpose in everything they do. I'm proud to be a part of this amazing group and hope everyone takes notice and joins in.

The Gracias Foundation does an incredible job helping those who want to help themselves and others in their communities but just need the means to do so. They foster an environment of gratitude between their donors/volunteers and their recipients by providing opportunities for donors to work with and directly impact their projects. I would recommend The Gracias Foundation to anyone who wants a more personal experience when volunteering.

I've been with this org since its inception, when we were dreaming up projects that would encourage small acts of gratitude that would have big impacts on women and children across the world. Our projects are typically things that don't get funded by our partners' traditional donors - like trauma healing, psychosocial development activities, emotional healing, safe infrastructures - things that don't sound as "sexy" as saving lives through water or food alone, but which are just as critical to helping our partners pave the path for their beneficiaries to have independent and sustainable futures. I've seen firsthand the impact we've had - on the incredible local women and children, the dedicated caregivers and staff, and the generous donors, supporters, and ambassadors who believe in creating ripples of change through acts of gratitude. I'm inspired to my very core and grateful for the work that I get to do every day. I hope you will be, too.

I would like to recommend the Gracias Foundation because I believe in their objectives and have seen their passion and dedication in action, this is why my husband and I donated to help them. However it is also because my 17 years old daughter volunteered at one of their projects, the Mama Maisha orphanage in Kenya, and this experience changed her. The main objective of the trip was to buy suitable books in Nairobi, then set up and organise a library for the children in the orphanage. She had the chance to live with the children in the orphanage and share their every day life, which opened her eyes to how lucky she is to have been born in Switzerland, have security, loving parents and the chance to study for her future. Not only did she realise how we all take such things for granted but she also was deeply moved by the children's ability to enjoy the smallest things and simply be grateful to be alive. I can confirm that she sees life with different eyes and I can highly recommend a trip to Mama Maisha's orphanage. We will continue to donate to the Gracias Foundation as we can see the progress and feel part of something real.

The Gracias Foundation does an incredible job of working with international students who want to make a difference in the world. Students who attend countless international schools around the world have many opportunities to get involved in community, action and service projects. However, often times a group project allows some students to get involved while others simply "tag along" or go along with the group.

What I like most about the Gracias Foundation is that they work very hard to make sure that individual students who participate in their projects have an extremely personal experience.

Students are involved from the very beginning and truly drive the process which oftentimes results in an increased level of commitment. They are truly invested in the projects. As an international school administrator for a number of years, I have watched many students participate in countless service projects. I would strongly recommend the Gracias Organization to any student, parent or school.

I currently volunteer with Gracias by helping with the newsletter, writing blog posts and with social media posts. We have also donated to the Kenya project where our son volunteered earlier this year. There are so many issues that need addressing in the world, this NGO concentrates on supporting an existing daycare centre and three orphanages started by locals. Its focus is empowerment, and helping the kids get education and support to have a self-sufficient future, and to also help them heal emotionally. The org also funds and runs a project in Congo to help rape survivors with the psychological scars of sexual violence. The differences Gracias makes are small but meaningful and life-changing.
Their philosophy is also one that is meaningful to me, not giving out of guilt but from a place of gratitude for our lives and what me have. I'm grateful to have well fed, well educated kids, if I can help others achieve this it makes me happy and fulfilled.
