Mission: Providing historical information to patrons
Programs: The grand encampment museum is a collection of historical buildings and items from the platte valley reflecting the rich history of the area. The museum is open may-sept and served 7977 visitors this season. The museum grounds were used in the off season by a group of just under 100 boy scouts who came for a weekend of winter camping and klondike racing.
this museum annually hosts a living history day where workers and volunteers dress in period costumes and re-enact life in the 1800's. In the summer the museum also hosted movie nights for locals and visitors alike.
