My experience with the Grady County Fine Arts Project has been an especially rewarding one. The organization plays a vital role in the southwest Georgia region in terms of bridging the gulf between the Arts and the community. With the very capable leadership on the part of Mrs. Audrey Magee, the GCFAP sponsors a number of programs that center on the performing Arts, including a weekly beginning string class that meets at the Roddenberry Memorial Library in Cairo. That class enrolls students who wish the master the basics of viola and violin performance in ways that lay the foundation for further study of a stringed instrument. The students who participate in those classes represent a broad cross-section of the community, and each of them receives individualized tutorial assistance.
I encourage business owners, pastors, community leaders, civic organizations, and citizens to consider supporting this important organization with your financial contributions, which will assist the GCFAP in furthering its programming initiatives.
