What a wonderful tool, not just for Special Needs children but for all children. Communication is key in today's world and every child should understand there are many ways to communicate in different ways; especially to those that are different, but to also learn a new skill - it's a fun, creative site. Congratulations, Valerie!

GraceSigns is an amazing organization. They are using education to not only teach but expand children's thinking to be inclusive of others who are differently-abled. They provide the learning of signing with stories and video and music through their apps. This collaboration of their many creative minds make this group so unique and special. Valerie (the founder) is a champion of making everything fun and positive! I can picture the children interacting with their apps and developing their communication skills with big smiles : )

I love that this organization is increasing awareness of young people with language challenges and learning differences by focusing on communication. As a SLP with many clients, I am always looking for apps that can be used in multiple ways. I love this app because not only are my clients able to learn new signs, they are able to then use the signs to answer my comprehension questions about the story. The signing vocabulary not only applies to the story, but also to vocabulary in their everyday life. I also appreciate that the story can be read aloud to the client, I can read it myself at a slowed pace, or my client can read the text themselves. I highly recommend this app!

This interactive application is both pleasing to the eye, easy to use and very helpful "visually" of how one learns to apply the actual hand-gestures to signing :D

Highly recommend that you put it to use right away!

Enjoy!

We have been looking for a way to help my son communicate and found this app on the App Store. We learned signs while reading the funny stories. Now my son can tell me that he is happy or sleepy or thirsty. He feels empowered and I feel great. I have recommended it to my friends because I honestly believe that they can help so many kids express themselves. GraceSigns is an outstanding nonprofit. I hope they keep up the good work.

This is such an awesome organization. I love the fact that they are not only teaching sign language but also showcasing kids with disabilities. Using technology is great too because it has has such a broad reach. My son has speech issues and the Sign Me A Story app was a big help to me and him-we both learned a bunch of signs and really liked the funny cartoon characters. A big thank you to this group, hope they keep making apps!
