Mission: The mission of Grace Village is to serve Families in Transition. We provide Sanctuary, Therapy and Support Groups for Bereavement. We also provide Sanctuary, Support and Developmental Programs for Adoptive, Step & Foster Families and Shelter Residents. We accomplish this utilizing workshops, camp retreats and an interactive web community.
Results: To date, we have provided a camping experience for 75+ kids and dozens of adults. We have funded numerous outings for the kids of Ouachita Children's Center, located in Hot Springs, AR. During the holiday season, we collected and distributed personal hygiene items, coats, hats & gloves, and warm meals to the homeless community located in downtown Dallas.
Target demographics: adoptive, step & foster families and shelter residents
Direct beneficiaries per year: dozens of kids (ages 1-18), 3 emergency shelters
Programs: workshops, camp retreats and an interactive web community.
This was such a great experience for the kids!! I brought my daughter and her 2 friends. We all had a blast. The staff had games and fun activities such as kickball, canoe races, hiking, treasure hunts and much more scheduled at all times of the day. The kids stayed busy and were very interactive.
They also served us 3 incredible meals a day. The staff was great!!
I can't wait to go back next year!
