I'm a veteran who moved to Quincy to become a care-giver for an elderly gentleman. PJ and Suzi have been godly and generous with helping, by providing spiritual support, supplies, even food for the gentleman. I appreciate the veteran package that was donated which they provided. A neighbor had a stroke recently and urgently needed adult diapers temporarily, and GPS and their donors came through! God bless all of you and thank you.
Pj has always helped me as i am a single mom w 3 small children, ages 3, 2, and 3 months. During my last pregnancy, I suffered through severe domestic violence and had a lot of stress. Everytime i came to GPS, PJ lifted my spirits, prayed for me and gave me words of hope and encouragement. After my son was born she got me a special mom package with items in it that I'd never be able to afford myself, items like lotions and face wash also Pj got my baby a beautiful handmade quilt and she always goes above and beyond to get treats to my older boys. Her heart and her service is so great. She is an angel put on Earth and she truly values the connection with her clients and she strives to constantly give direct personal care for every person who walks through GPS ministries doors.
I am a board member and donator. Our mission would not be if it weren't for the CEO PJ. Each day GPS is open PJ welcomes all who are in need with open arms and without judgement. She sits down with each person giving them the time they need to figure out where to start and where to go next. GPS is not just a food pantry as PJ ensures each person who walks through the doors are taken care of from spirituality to job resumes to teaching them how to do an interview. The old saying "Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day, teach him to fish and he will eat for a lifetime" comes to mind when I think of GPS and everything PJ does to help others. There are numerous volunteers who help PJ with putting donations away to helping with the children's power hour. Not only does PJ ensure the adults are getting what they need, she ensures the children are taken care of also. She takes them out to fun places but places they can still learn from, she gives them goodies to keep and ensures they get a hot meal before she sends them back home. As I said, GPS is not just a food pantry, it's a place to go for help without worrying if everything will be addressed, without judgement and ensuring the children are taken care of.
Pj and everyone at GPS minister is the best food pantry in quincy Illinois, their a family helping other family's. Whenever we run out we know we can count on gps to help us out. My 3 babies also love goin to power hour monthly they have grown so much since starting to go
Thank u and please continue serving God
Pj and everyone at GPS ministries are amazing. I have four babies and sometimes we cant always stretch our food out. GPS helps bridge that gap. They also love going to power hour monthly and doing new exciting things.
Another year has passed filled with glorious highs; as well as, a few plunging lows. Having lost our cash and coin drive due to changes in local and state ordinances; doubt for our continued existence prevailed. God is great! Our prayers were answered through the generous gifts both big and small from our many donors. Each gift is a true blessing allowing GPS Ministries in turn, bless all who enter our doors. I believe God has touched the heart of each of our donors as all our programs are intact, even with increased client numbers. Our heart warming highs are in the faces of our clients , both young and old. Having seen many personally; the smiles, look of relief, even tears of joy from knowing someone cares, are "highs" that outweigh any "low". I would like to thank all who are part of GPS Ministries. Our donors, volunteers, members, especially those who without recognition or acknowledgement, do the myriad of things large or small, important or in passing, all the vast number of items which make GPS Ministries, truly God's People Serving.
Well folks, this has been at a fast pace for all involved at GPS Ministry since my last review. The need within our community has grown; funding has tightened ; our volunteer matrix has shrank, forcing a reduction in days open to the public. Our most stalwart and stabilizing force at GPS, is our CEO, PJ. Her determination, knowledge, true caring and deep faith in our mission is inspiring. Having been volunteering at GPS I have come to the realization that, here we are sharing blessing more than a simply giving a helping hand. I believe all blessing given; are returned 10 fold; all who support GPS Ministry are a very special blessing. With continuing support from our many donors; we may all have another blessed year.

I am Betty P. and I volunteer at GPS Ministries. I have seen PJ help many clients in need with prayer, food, personal care items, meat, sweets, and job skills. She lives and serves the Lord Jesus Christ daily. Being here as a volunteer I feel so blessed. All of the volunteer staff enjoy being a team working together as one. I am thankful for the opportunity to serve God and others.
Brought me to meet PJ at the GPS Ministries, I was so impressed by her that I knew that I want to become a volunteer to help her and the GPS Ministry.
I have watched her interaction with the clients I have seen her pray with them, care for them and help with there needs always putting there need first.
PJ works hard at the food pantry/ministry it is hard to even get her to take a lunch.
I feel that Quincy is bless to have someone like her to go to when things are hard.
Our life's are hard we are living in stressful times, it is so wonderful to be able to go to someone like PJ and the ministry that she service.
I'm Executive Director and Senior Pastor of a Biblical Counseling Program and I would like to share with you the day we took one of our clients to get help at GPS Ministries led by CEO Founder P.J. Seals and Greg Seals, Secretary/Treasurer. Our client was out of a job and in need of basic supplies. As we walked in the door Pastor P.J. Seals lifted this fellow's spirits by joyfully greeting him with bags and bags of food, prayer, information on where he could find a job, how to get help with assistance through various agencies in our area and a special U.S. Veteran’s duffel bag because our client had served in the U.S. Army. The man left this ministry feeling hopeful about his future and he knew without a doubt that God loves him. You may say this was a special one-time event, however, on previous occasions when visiting GPS Ministries, we have witnessed her helping a young person and woman with job skills, preparing for a children’s power hour and sending several bags of food and supplies with those who were in desperate need of help. As my wife and I have seen Rev. Dr. Seals in action it is hard to hold back tears as we see hopelessness leave a needy person’s life and we how effective this ministry is and how it has developed over the years. GPS Ministries is impacting lives by offering resources and supplies when people need it most, and the staff shares the love of God and give God all the glory for the lives saved and families helped. Pj & Greg Seals have been my gaurdian angels since i first met them as a client of the GPS Ministries food pantry in 2013. Soon after i became a volunteer @ GPS Ministries as the Food Pantry Cooridinator then moved up the ladder as a Grant Writer. While volunteering @ GPS Ministries i became very great friends with both Pastor PJ Seals & her husband Pastor Greg Seals. They personally helped me & also on behalf of GPS Ministries when my home and belongings were affected by a fire 12-12-2014. I am still a current client, no longer a volunteer but i am & always will be a very grateful friend. THANK YOU ,,PJ & GREG SEALS AND GPS MINISTRIES for ALL that you do for GODS’ PEOPLE & THIS COMMUNITY.
As I was struggling to hold back my tears P.J graciously opened up her heart to reach out to me in a beautiful way but I went sobbing anyways. Lol
I knew getting survival food and personal items was a need when I stepped in GPS Ministries. She took the time to hear my story and she she asked if she could pray for me. God opened his doors for her and me! Thank you P.J., Suzi Cadwell and Brenda! A day to cherish as I continue my journey of faith that their is beautiful people still on this earth who loves the lord to be at service of God’s compassion, peace, hope and love for the world. Thank you GPS, Ministries. May you always be a huge, bright light for the many needed families. Amen.
GPS ministries was there when I got sick. My husband and daughter were trying to keep the house going and take care of me while working full time. My daughter is going to school full time and working part-time. GPS gave us food, encouraged us, but most importantly prayed for us. Thank you for doing God's work.
GPS ministries is the work of God. Not only do they help with food, but they teach life skills, they have programs for kids and adults. They truly care about each person that comes through the door. I am a past board member. You will not find a more loving and devoted person like PJ.
This organization has always been very helpful to my family and I.
Pj is always so wonderful and kind.
I never feel judged or looked down on when I go there.
GPS is a blessing and I am very thankful for all their help.
Sara and family
GPS Ministries is a place that touches every life that walks through the door! They not only provide food and other items that are needed but they take time out of their own life to get to know each individual and help them in every area of their life. Pj the CEO truly cares about each person and they sense the love she demonstrates through not only her words but her actions ! This is a one of a kind place that meets many needs with food, toiletries, and the very basics of Life. Not only that but this place takes one Saturday a month and devotes it specifically to the kids in the community with teaching and fun activities! This place is beyond words!
I have always struggled with asking for help, so when I came to GPS Ministries I was so impressed by how welcomed and put-at-ease I felt. PJ gave me so many helpful and much needed foods and toiletries that lasted and stretched out my budget. And when she was done, she held my hands, talked with me and said a lovely, touching prayer. My eyes welled up with tears, WOW, someone REALLY DOES care! And it showed me that there ARE wonderful, loving people out there, and also reminded me that God was there all along! Thank you GPS Ministries and PJ Seals, for such helpful assistance and for the blessing of kind words and a caring heart!
From the first day my family and I met PJ she has always uplifted us and encourages her families. I love that when you call to make your appointment she knows exactly who the caller is and build a priceless connection. Her staff and her are amazing kind caring and very generous with all that they share to the families they serve. I am happy to call PJ my friend . All the times she has personally helped my family include( plates when we moved in our house, backpacks, food pantry for all the months since February, and 2 movie night popcorn bins) . Pj and her staff always greet with smiles and offer more then one would expect with kindness.

I am a volunteer at GPS Ministries. My eyes and heart have been opened to the various things that GPS Ministries does in the Quincy community. I've witnessed the love and support that is poured out when individuals come in for a helping hand. They are led and directed to do what is truly needed in each individual case. A great deal of time and effort goes into making GPS Ministries all that it was meant to be. My time there is truly been a blessing, and I am open for what the Lord has in store for the future.
I am a new volunteer at GPS Ministries. I have seen a true genuineness that this ministry, and the individuals that are involved, have for those who are going through difficult times. They give a great deal of themselves to accomplish what they can in each individual situation. They are very appreciative of the donations whether it be food , financial support, etc. that they receive to accomplish what's in their heart to do. I'm blessed to be a part of this ministry. Brenda
This was more help than I expected. I didn't know walking in that door was going to make me feel so loved. Truly amazing people on the other side
Of that door with huge hearts. Didn't feel rushed or a burden, I felt like I was meant to be there in that day and at that time. Thank you for the help, love, support and acceptance. Will definitely pay the love forward ❤️
