I am so thankful for GPS Ministries and PJ. I have been off work due to disability for 5 years. It took 3 years to get approved for Social Security Disability. I had to empty my savings and 401k plus take out loans. My family lived off food banks and clothing pantries.
My medical bills were and still are mounting up along with all of my prescriptions. I have had to skip some medicine due to cost and it resulted in a broken foot, ankle and leg on 3 separate occasions however 3 extra medical bills from falls.
I have grandchildren living with me along with my own children (2 still in school). I've never been one to kick my children out or not help them when in need.
PJ prays for those who ask for help both in her private time and with me. She also makes Birthdays and Anniversaries special by giving a cake or cookie along with posting a picture if they are there.
Not just food but toiletries are needed too. Like adult diapers, toilet paper, pads/tampons, shampoo/conditioner, laundry soap, bath soap.
I appreciate all the generosity from the donors. I know how I felt when I had it to give. My daughter and I helped in the coin drives. We picked an Angel from Hannibal's Angel Tree, We donate toys to the toy drive.
GPS Ministries have such nice people there to help the community they make you feel so comfortable and they help to the best of their ability with any crisis that you may be going through. School supplies was a very big struggle this year but thanks to PJ she helped me get it taken care of with having the work and miss all the back to school giveaways GPS was there for me and my family....Thanks again PJ you are a amazing person
Pj and Greg and all the volunteers make there clients all feel like family. With words of kindness, there attention to detail of a families needs and more. Helping my daughter through power hour to gain more self love and confidence. Everything GPS does for their families makes us feel important and wanted and at times we all do question that asking for a hand out to help us get by. Thank you for always making my family feel important and cared for.
From the first day my family and I met PJ she has always uplifted us and encourages her families. I love that when you call to make your appointment she knows exactly who the caller is and build a priceless connection. Her staff and her are amazing kind caring and very generous with all that they share to the families they serve. I am happy to call PJ my friend . All the times she has personally helped my family include( plates when we moved in our house, backpacks, food pantry for all the months since February, and 2 movie night popcorn bins) . Pj and her staff always greet with smiles and offer more then one would expect with kindness.
GPS MINISTRY WOW.....
I myself its been a wonderful experience to me ; my first days of walking in those doors .
The atmosphere ,The spirit, was so so beautiful ....
PJ welcomed me in with open arms -the love was so unspeakable and that's what I was
searching for-LOVE- not only love for me but also the love of GOD. I cried and still cry cause that's what I wanted to be loved and feel the love of GOD at the same time. I WAS WONDERING WHY I WAS DIRECTED IN THIS PATH . Now I found out GPS MINISTRY was the answer.
I first met PJ Seals when I worked for big lots. She was always coming in buying school supplies, household supplies, food, and toiletries for the ministry, to hand out to clients in need of assistance. Never in my life have I met anyone who cared so much for everyone like she does. She doesn't treat anyone differently, in her eyes we are all God's children, so in need of not, we are all the same. I've seen her do so very much, sometimes with so little, and bed heartbroken that she couldn't help more. She is the heart and soul of this ministry. GPS is always there for anyone in need. With a welcoming smile, a warm heart, and a prayer for everyone who needs it. Not only do they have a food pantry, they also have special programs for kids, and assistance with job applications and resumes. If you need help with food, or getting a job, this is the place to go. You will always leave here feeling a thousand times better than when you got here. God bless you all
they have helped me out alot especialy when i was out of work always serve with a smile
i love gps and pj she greets you with a smile and is a very big help
GPS has helped my family a lot. When we were short I always knew I could count on PJ to help us. She is more than just a regular person who helps people out. She is amazing and sweet and has a heart of gold! They are very God oriented and centered. She has a heart full of love for God and doing His work! They are more than just a food source to me. Anytime you are in a bind call her
Another eventful year has rolled around. God's grace has granted GPS the privilege to pay forward many blessings, to an ever increasing number of clients. A heartfelt thank you to "ALL" GPS supporters. Each and every gift, large, or small; cents or dollars; one items or bags of items; the gift of one's time; or a simple word of encouragement has value when given from the heart.
Being a board member and volunteer. I have witnessed God's touch numerous times; as (needed assistance always arrives on time) through a supporter being touched. With God's love and grace working through our devoted supporters, we shall (continue to pay forward blessings).
Another year has passed filled with glorious highs; as well as, a few plunging lows. Having lost our cash and coin drive due to changes in local and state ordinances; doubt for our continued existence prevailed. God is great! Our prayers were answered through the generous gifts both big and small from our many donors. Each gift is a true blessing allowing GPS Ministries in turn, bless all who enter our doors. I believe God has touched the heart of each of our donors as all our programs are intact, even with increased client numbers. Our heart warming highs are in the faces of our clients , both young and old. Having seen many personally; the smiles, look of relief, even tears of joy from knowing someone cares, are "highs" that outweigh any "low". I would like to thank all who are part of GPS Ministries. Our donors, volunteers, members, especially those who without recognition or acknowledgement, do the myriad of things large or small, important or in passing, all the vast number of items which make GPS Ministries, truly God's People Serving.
It has been a hard year this past year 2018. We didn't know if, we would have to have to closed the doors.
PJ with Gods help we survive. She is amazing her faith that God will open an other doors for GPS Ministries.
PJ's clients love her and look to her for advice in faith and other matters. She always has a smile on her face and her heart open for them.
Volunteering this past year as been so rewording and an eye opening.
I have been on both the receiving and giving end to GPS Ministries. I have gotten prayers, love, support, and so much more from PJ and staff. I have never felt so cared about, especially as of lately since my mom passed away. I would never go anywhere or give anywhere else because of the respect I have for all that they offer.
I first came here as a client in need of food and personal care items last December. I was not aware that this is a ministry first or that P.J. is a minister. I received numerous essential items that filled in nicely for meals and snacks. Before I left, PJ asked about the challenges I was facing and prayed with me. I left in tears with a smile in my heart, having been so touched by the love, concern and compassion I felt that day. And so . . . here I am a year later, a volunteer for ten months, thrilled to be serving God and witnessing daily his power to work miracles and touch the lives of so many clients with physical and spiritual needs! Thank you PJ for praying through and guiding me to grow spiritually and help others. Without this ministry and the many programs provided for the less fortunate in our community, many of those in need would fall through the cracks, and what a loss that would be!
I have always struggled with asking for help, so when I came to GPS Ministries I was so impressed by how welcomed and put-at-ease I felt. PJ gave me so many helpful and much needed foods and toiletries that lasted and stretched out my budget. And when she was done, she held my hands, talked with me and said a lovely, touching prayer. My eyes welled up with tears, WOW, someone REALLY DOES care! And it showed me that there ARE wonderful, loving people out there, and also reminded me that God was there all along! Thank you GPS Ministries and PJ Seals, for such helpful assistance and for the blessing of kind words and a caring heart!
I'm a veteran who moved to Quincy to become a care-giver for an elderly gentleman. PJ and Suzi have been godly and generous with helping, by providing spiritual support, supplies, even food for the gentleman. I appreciate the veteran package that was donated which they provided. A neighbor had a stroke recently and urgently needed adult diapers temporarily, and GPS and their donors came through! God bless all of you and thank you.
Pj has always helped me as i am a single mom w 3 small children, ages 3, 2, and 3 months. During my last pregnancy, I suffered through severe domestic violence and had a lot of stress. Everytime i came to GPS, PJ lifted my spirits, prayed for me and gave me words of hope and encouragement. After my son was born she got me a special mom package with items in it that I'd never be able to afford myself, items like lotions and face wash also Pj got my baby a beautiful handmade quilt and she always goes above and beyond to get treats to my older boys. Her heart and her service is so great. She is an angel put on Earth and she truly values the connection with her clients and she strives to constantly give direct personal care for every person who walks through GPS ministries doors.
I am a board member and donator. Our mission would not be if it weren't for the CEO PJ. Each day GPS is open PJ welcomes all who are in need with open arms and without judgement. She sits down with each person giving them the time they need to figure out where to start and where to go next. GPS is not just a food pantry as PJ ensures each person who walks through the doors are taken care of from spirituality to job resumes to teaching them how to do an interview. The old saying "Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day, teach him to fish and he will eat for a lifetime" comes to mind when I think of GPS and everything PJ does to help others. There are numerous volunteers who help PJ with putting donations away to helping with the children's power hour. Not only does PJ ensure the adults are getting what they need, she ensures the children are taken care of also. She takes them out to fun places but places they can still learn from, she gives them goodies to keep and ensures they get a hot meal before she sends them back home. As I said, GPS is not just a food pantry, it's a place to go for help without worrying if everything will be addressed, without judgement and ensuring the children are taken care of.
Pj and everyone at GPS minister is the best food pantry in quincy Illinois, their a family helping other family's. Whenever we run out we know we can count on gps to help us out. My 3 babies also love goin to power hour monthly they have grown so much since starting to go

Pj and everyone at GPS ministries are amazing. I have four babies and sometimes we cant always stretch our food out. GPS helps bridge that gap. They also love going to power hour monthly and doing new exciting things.
GPS Ministries Is The most wonderful organization, PJ and everyone go above and beyond to help everyone, without them alot of people wouldn't know what to do, They make you feel welcomed and loved when you are there, They truly are God's Angels, Thank You for everything you do for all of us, Tanya Jones and Family
GPS is truly a Blessing, They have helped me, my family, and many others more than words can say, They help with food and many other wonderful things a person needs, Once You walk in the door they make u feel welcomed and very comfortable, alot of people feel sad and sometimes embarrassed to ask for help, but GPS never looks at a person in any negative way they are always smiling and wanting to help You in any way they can, I dont know what I or many other people would do without them, Thank You GPS for everything you do, and I am honored and Blessed that I have gotten the chance to get to know You, Everything You Do Means Alot
I am Betty P. and I volunteer at GPS Ministries. I have seen PJ help many clients in need with prayer, food, personal care items, meat, sweets, and job skills. She lives and serves the Lord Jesus Christ daily. Being here as a volunteer I feel so blessed. All of the volunteer staff enjoy being a team working together as one. I am thankful for the opportunity to serve God and others.
Brought me to meet PJ at the GPS Ministries, I was so impressed by her that I knew that I want to become a volunteer to help her and the GPS Ministry.
I have watched her interaction with the clients I have seen her pray with them, care for them and help with there needs always putting there need first.
PJ works hard at the food pantry/ministry it is hard to even get her to take a lunch.
I feel that Quincy is bless to have someone like her to go to when things are hard.
Our life's are hard we are living in stressful times, it is so wonderful to be able to go to someone like PJ and the ministry that she service.
I'm Executive Director and Senior Pastor of a Biblical Counseling Program and I would like to share with you the day we took one of our clients to get help at GPS Ministries led by CEO Founder P.J. Seals and Greg Seals, Secretary/Treasurer. Our client was out of a job and in need of basic supplies. As we walked in the door Pastor P.J. Seals lifted this fellow's spirits by joyfully greeting him with bags and bags of food, prayer, information on where he could find a job, how to get help with assistance through various agencies in our area and a special U.S. Veteran’s duffel bag because our client had served in the U.S. Army. The man left this ministry feeling hopeful about his future and he knew without a doubt that God loves him. You may say this was a special one-time event, however, on previous occasions when visiting GPS Ministries, we have witnessed her helping a young person and woman with job skills, preparing for a children’s power hour and sending several bags of food and supplies with those who were in desperate need of help. As my wife and I have seen Rev. Dr. Seals in action it is hard to hold back tears as we see hopelessness leave a needy person’s life and we how effective this ministry is and how it has developed over the years. GPS Ministries is impacting lives by offering resources and supplies when people need it most, and the staff shares the love of God and give God all the glory for the lives saved and families helped.
