I've worked for Goodwill in Tacoma for more than a year. I'm not getting rich -- in fact, I don’t know anyone who does -- but I'm very proud to be part of this organization that helps people from all walks of life to build a better future for themselves. When people drop off items at our donation sites, not only are they acting ecologically, but they're also creating the resources for our staff to: help a high school dropout to get a GED; assist men and women of all ages to learn a profession through vocational training; support a veteran's efforts to find a civilian job after serving the nation; and serve as a community meeting place to find information and skills. I don't know where Tacoma7 got his information, but I suggest he visit the Charity Navigator web site to see what we do with the resources we 're given or to visit any of our facilities all around the Olympic and Rainier region --including our main office in Tacoma -- and see how we earn our namesake.
