Goodwill Industries Of Sacramento Valley & Northern Nevada Inc

Programs: Goodwill industries of sacramento valley & northern nevada utilizes its retail stores as community training centers to provide on-the-job training to people with disabilities, people with disadvantages and others having a hard time finding employment. Goodwill accepts donations of clothing and other household items from the public and sells these donations in goodwill community-based retail stores and training centers. Revenue from the sale of these goods goes directly toward supporting and growing critical community-based programs and job placement services. 1,333 persons were served in 2014.

goodwill provides on-the-job training in the areas of customer service, collection, processing, dock, warehouse, transportation and salvage which support the donated goods and retail program services. 901 persons were served in 2014.

goodwill provides education and career services, as well as job placement opportunities and post-employment support to individuals with disabilities and other challenges to employment so that they can find and keep good jobs. Individuals can achieve greater levels of self-sufficiency and economic success through goodwill's work force development services - such as employment training and education, work experience and employment retention services. Goodwill programs strengthen communities and promote independence and dignity for people who need it most. 3,592 persons were served in 2014.

goodwill entered into a territory license agreement with goodwill industries - manasota, inc. ("gim") allowing gim to develop a donated goods business in the territory granted to the organization.
