I used to live at the Good Shepherd years ago. They provided good meals and a clean environment to stay in. Some of the workers and volunteers were very nice and some of the workers were very mean especially a man named Tim. He no longer works there, praise God! I would have thought a man that used to be homeless would have more mercy and compassion regarding others experiencing the worst situation in their lives but he did not unfortunately. Anyway there was a man, a social worker named Joe who did advise me on what I should do to obtain housing. I am very grateful for him because I was able to move in somewhere and it helped me a lot and then when the place I was living lost its funding and they were trying to evict everyone that lived there., Joe also helped me again to move into somewhere that I could afford because I was on a fixed income. I am grateful for the Good Shepherd so I didn't have to actually sleep on the streets or in a tent. I also pray that God will have mercy on Tim's soul and also I feel bad for customers and coworkers that may encounter him at the Walmart in monkey junction.

This place is a living nightmare people that work there treat the homeless people like completely trash it's currently a virus is going around the shelter and I tried to talk to the woman that is in charge and she said so what. Also supposedly people have said she gives clothes and jackets to the salvation army probably for a profit... I do not recommend this place..

I am able to volunteer with several weekly activities weekly and I get to see the difference Good Shepherd makes to many people throughout the community. I drive 4th Quarter residents to AA meetings, work and school on Tuesdays and Thursdays and to Good Shepherd Center on Fridays. I also play guitar with veteran residents at the Ashley center on Wednesday nights.

This is a great organization and is so valuable to the community. I help organize the fund raising events. The community loves to come out and support these events b/c they know that the proceeds are used responsibility and it's for a great cause. So many are helped by GSC.

I took a tour of Good Shepherd two weeks ago and was so moved by the good work that is done there that I went home and thought about the best ways I could help. Everyone I met who works there was so inspiring to me. This past Saturday, I went to Good Shepherd and served lunch, and what a wonderful experience! The clients were so appreciative and went out of their way to thank us for the meal. I look forward to giving much more of my time to Good Shepherd in the future.

I volunteer at The Good Shepherd and I am always very pleased with the friendliness of the residents given their situation. I think this is due to the facility and the people who work there for being good hearted and cooperative.

We always enjoy coming to the Good Shepherd Center. It is a first class facility and from our viewpoint in service and preparation of food, they always do a good job. A number of our church members come, we also bring our families and children. We feel very safe and welcome. We look forward to seeing the staff and the other volunteers. Thank you for the opportunity to serve.

All you have to do is talk to the guests who are benefitting from the services of The Good Shepherd Center to appreciate there but for the grace of God go I. I recently attended the graduation of a resident from Ashley Center, an eighteen month transitional living program. What I witnessed was the power of a community center built on mutual support among the residents. This particular community of men nurtured the newcomers, developed self responsibility and leadership within the residents, and then through the testiminials of past graduates gave encouragement and confidence to the graduates that their upward journey was just beginning and in fact had unlimited potential. Each graduate's success is no small victory and having them return to fulfilling their human potential and to embrace their potential to help others, is a "shining moment".

We have been involved with Good Shepherd on several occasions. We want to continue to provide time and products to the shelter. It is a top notch facility and all of the volunteers work at making an impact on all of their guests daily. We are honored to be able to help in any small way to be a part of the great work the Good Shepherd provides for this cities homeless population.

Helped put together a fundraising event at Good Shepherd Center known as Help-Portrait. Scott Litten and the rest of the staff are courteous, helpful, and do amazing work for this community. I cannot express how hard they try, and succeed at making this world a better place.
