Mission: Support hospital, serve community. Good samaritan hospital foundation (the foundation) is a not-for-profit public foundation located in corvallis, oregon. The foundation receives and manages charitable contributions for the benefit of good samaritan hospital corvallis (the hospital).
Programs: Grants to hospital and supporting organizations or programs for operating and capital costs. Grants for capital costs during 2016 included funding for hospital equipment and for construction costs of a new cancer center offering expanded cancer services. Program grants in 2016 included funding for hospital programs, such as mental health (including teenage suicide prevention and trauma counseling services), cancer care and cancer survivor support services, staff education, an artscare program for patients and staff, and support for the mario pastega guest house located on the hospital campus. The guest house provides a "home away from home" for patients and families traveling to corvallis for specialized medical care. Other grants during 2016 included funding for research grants which support programs/projects that enhance human function and performance through clinical research, rehabilitation, and/or prevention.
