Like other comments have noted the front desk staff conduct's themselves in an emergency unprofessional manner. They seem to forget they are working for a non profit Christian based organization. To summarize, my mother has insurance and doesn't have a need to come to this clinic but has the upmost respect and admiration for the MEDICAL staff. She came because of the MEDICAL staff. Today when going into her appointment the Hispanic receptionist
LAUGHED because there was an error
THEY made regarding my mothers date of birth. The Afro Latina lady also working the front desk did a good job helping get a date for another time. We will not be coming back again though due to the initial reaction from the other staff. Honestly it's a shame how poor if not blatantly disgusting service can bring down the reputation of an otherwise wonderful establishment.

I have been a volunteer at the Good Samaritan Health Center for two months. What I have seen has been amazing. The staff and volunteers provide a welcoming environment for their patients. The center is well equipt to provide excellent care. This center is crucial to the Atlanta community since it provides health care to those who otherwise would not be able to afford it.

I found Good Sam through a friend of the family and began volunteering here in August. I am fortunate enough to be able to volunteer three days a week, and it has truly been an amazing experience so far. Everyone here is very nice to patients and volunteers alike. The clinic runs very smoothly and the nurses and PCPs are extremely knowledgeable. There is always something for me to do, and I feel like my time is well spent and that I am making a difference to the clinic as a whole. Great clinic with great staff and patients too!

Good Samaritan Health Center is a wonderful organization that meets the needs of many people who would not be served elsewhere with the superior level of care and in a well-equipped and pleasant facility. The atmosphere is positive and respectful. Volunteer time invested here is time well-spent toward a very worthy goal.

Our school has sent middle school students to volunteer at Good Samaritan for years and they always have a great experience. When he is onsite, Dr. Warren meets with the students to talk about the vision and work of the clinic, which makes the whole volunteer experience more meaningful for the students. They are always given worthwhile work to do and gain a better appreciation for what they have and the needs of an urban population so far removed from their middle class lives. A great organization!

Good Sam is an amazing operation. The care the patient receives is professional and caring. The office staff is friendly and organized and Good Sam seems to make every dollar donated stretch as far as it possibly can. I brought a group of middle school kids to volunteer and not only were they educated about what Good Sam does, why their services are needed and who needs them, but they were given real jobs to do! It was great for Miss Karen to be able to tell them that the charts they filed freed up a nurse to help another patient! Awesome experience for both the kids and the chaperones!

The Good Samaritan Health Center provides comprehensive health care for those people who are under or uninsured. The staff treat their patients with a caring dignity that is rare in most healthcare facilities. This is evident by the large numbers of people who seek their services. All donations are utilized in the most efficient and economical manner. Any volunteer work that I have participated in has been greatly appreciated and verbally communicated by many staff members.

Good Samaritan Health Center has been helping to provide quality healthcare to people who cannot afford it anywhere else since 1998. They allow their patients to pay on a sliding scale according to their income level. Also, they are one of very few places that also provide comprehensive dental care to those in need. Patients at Good Samaritan are always treated with the upmost respect and they leave feeling valued.

The Good Samaritan Health Center provides high quality healthcare to people in my community who couldn't afford care otherwise. While patients do pay what they are able to afford, it only covers a fourth of what it actually costs to serve them. I know that my donation goes directly to care for people in need.

This is a great medical and dental clinic that offers preventive care to to those in need of care with modest extra funds for this care. It charges for its services on a sliding scale of ability to pay. Everyone has to pay something even if only $5. Good Samaritan moved back two years ago to its roots of being in a local neighborhood in inner city. it recently completed a teaching kitchen. This kitchen is run by a dietician who will show folks how to plan and cook a healthy and tasty meal with a small budget. The clinic offers services for men, women and children. It also has various clinics on Ssaturdays throughout year by getting say dental practices to volunteer to do anything needed such as root canasl to filings and crowns. On some Saturdays eye clinics are offered. Everyone in need of glasses or contacts can come. Those needing to get checked for glacoma as well or any other eye related issues. Anything that can't be done at clinic can be referred elsewhere. It is a very good steward of its monies received from donors. Last of all i learned this year that it provides helps folks with missing limbs to secure prostitus at a reasnable cost. It is one of few clinics to offer this service. You can go to the website to read about story of a teacher from Africa who lost her leg in a bus accident 25-30 years ago. She had one but it was time to replace it. We were ble to design one for her needs. It was heart wrenching to hear what it meant to her to be able to get around and have a normal life and be independent. By William Hoyt.

There is no place around that can help entire families receive medical and dental services better than Good Samaritan Health Center. The staff is excellent in their fields and the number of volunteers that support the staff is tremendous. The center not only provides medical and dental care but also nutritional and emotional support from people who truly care about each person who comes to the center for services. When you walk through the door of the center you immediately feel welcome and appreciated for what you do at the center.

Of all of the non-profit organizations that I have worked with, Good Sam does by far more with its resources in meeting the needs of individuals in need in the Atlanta community. The health care provided is as good as the best health care in Atlanta, and it is serving the underserved. The people in the organization are dedicated to its mission, and continues to provide excellent services to the working poor, uninsured, homeless, and down on their luck population. Over 25,000 visits are made to the center each year. It is a terrific ministry!
