Had an incredible time in chitwan foyr my 10 day stay, hotel was very comfortable, everything had been organised for me including busses and accommodation and raj collected me from the airport and was brought back aswell. Overall an incredible experience volunteering with the elephant and her trainers and I would recommend to anyone looking for this type of experience without the hassle of trying to juggle a thousand things trying to organise it 10/10 would do again
I went to Nepal for 4 weeks and it was one of the best things that ever happened to me. It was the very first experience for me of going on an adventure like this, far away from places and people I knew.
The whole trip was very well organised thanks to Nabraj Ghimire and his wife Akankshya. I could rely on them if I had any questions or problem. Most of the time I spent in a village called Siurung located in an beautiful area surrounded by green hills and white tops of the Himalaya. The view of majestic mountains was breathtaking and I felt incredibly happy every single morning. People of the village are very kind and have big hearts. They will always smile and greet everyone with Namaste. I lived in a homestay of Umar and Dil Kumari. By the time I felt like a part of the family and this place became my home. They were taking a good care of me, including delicious meals and pleasant evening talks.
The shcool is very simple and children are very shy, but it was a pleasure to work with them. As I can not speak nepali, sometimes I just used hands and legs to communicate with the pupils, but that made it even bigger fun. Other teachers are very kind as well and we often talked together.
There are some possibilities for taking nice walks around the village or even more far. Villagers took me to the beautiful view point called Horsing and also to the top of a nearby hill. I will keep the memories of these gorgeous places in my heart.
All in all, I feel very grateful for this experience, it was not easy to wawe goodbye to Nepal.
