Mission: The golden west music booster organization is organized for educational purposes. The organization gives active assistance to the music program at golden west middle school. This assistance takes the form of promoting, supporting and maintaining the music program by providing instruments, music, equipment as well as transportation to and entrance fees for band events and other necessary materials not provided by the school board as well as publicizing important projects or performances. The mission is to support and maintain music education in solano county.
Programs: Golden west music boosters funded the acquisition of musical instruments, uniforms and equipment which allowed the marching band to attend various events such as the california association for music education festival,the armijo band review,the califonia band directors association honor band review, the encinal band review and the vallejo band review as well as other events at the school and in the area to promote music for the youth in the fairfield area. Approximately 100 students of golden west middle school participate in the music program.
