This rescue is running a scam where they have people fill out an application for $25 to adopt but they don't mention on their website there's a 50% chance you'll be denied based on ONE question, whether or not you have a doggie door. They make NO mention of this on the website or the application. In the application there's a question asking if you have a dog door or not. If you answer yes then you're automatically denied and they get to keep your application fee. When I received my email denying me based on the fact that I have a dog door they claimed they have a strict no adopt policy to people with dog doors. I said why didn't you mention that on the website and he/she replied to my email saying that if they put that on the website then people will lie about it. So you're going to be deceitful and not let someone know they're WASTING $25 if they fill out an application and have a dog door? The only reason my money was refunded was because I threw a fit. I feel terribly sorry for the families that send these people $25 not knowing that ONE single answer will disqualify them. There's literally a 50% chance with EVERY SINGLE application they get that they'll get to keep the fee and deny the applicant ever being able to adopt through them. Pretty shady business tactics if you ask me....An honest business would say something like this on their website: "We have a strict no adopt policy to anyone with a doggie door. We feel this is necessary to protect our dogs. If you fill out an application and lie it will be discovered during the home visit as we will walk the perimeter of the house to inspect for dog doors. You will be denied adoption and will forfeit your application fee. Thank you for your understanding." See, that's how ethical businesses operate.
