I have volunteered for Golden Beginnings Golden Retriever Rescue for more than 5 years, and continue to do so because this organization truly makes a huge impact on our community, cares deeply about the welfare of the Goldens in the program, and its volunteers are extremely dedicated to the cause. They are supportive of adopters, and supportive of one another. We all know and love this breed, and believe in educating people about responsible dog ownership. Golden Beginnings is part of the solution. This is a tremendous organization, and there is good reason that it has good reputation in the community,

Mission: Golden Beginnings Golden Retriever Rescue, founded in 1999, began out of a desire to help unwanted and abused/neglected Golden Retrievers. We are an entirely volunteer organization, relying on donations, with all proceeds going directly to cover expenses for foster dogs and veterinary care for Goldens in need. We assist in the rescue and placement of Golden Retrievers, placing them in loving adoptive homes throughout Texas and the United States. We also cooperate with state and local authorities in the enforcement of laws related to the welfare of dogs. Additionally, we strive to educate dog owners and the general public about responsible pet ownership, including spaying/neutering, training and humane care of Golden Retrievers and other pets. We further strive to protect the Golden Retriever from careless breeding in order to preserve the excellent qualities of this breed for future generations.
Results: We rescue approximately 200 Goldens each year and we have won several awards for our efforts.
