Programs: Neighborhood outreaches: to show people the love of god and his desire is to help them in practical ways. To address this goal, outreach packets were distributed in two bakersfield, ca neighborhoods. These packets included: easy-to-read new testaments, contemporary english version, scripture cards, and four brochures that encourage people to see that life would go better with god's help, that describe how to read the bible and that discuss successful prayer. 157 households were served. When the foundation moved to idaho in the summer of 2018, we spent 1/3 of the year doing needs assessment and networking in the low income communities of emmett and star, idaho. The results from becoming acquainted with these new communities necessitated revising outreach materials to address the clientele in idaho so that those resources would reach a new audience. Good samaritan fund: from becoming acquainted with the new idaho communities we partnered with the local food bank in star, id to distribute food at an alternative high school to at-risk teen and their families. On a weekly, often bi-weekly basis, between 20-35 students were served, and 15-20 families with a total of 95 individuals served. Good samaritan fund also has money to donate emergency food, gas, and cash help. This year donations were made for gas and food.
