I can't speak highly enough of Godbey Creek Canine Rescue! My family and I adopted two incredible dogs from them—our adult dog, Rex, and a lovable Shiba Inu, Riggy—and the experience was nothing short of amazing.
From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this rescue is truly a special place. The staff is incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the dogs in their care.
The adoption process was smooth and thorough, with a genuine focus on the well-being of the dogs and ensuring the right fit for each family. We could tell that Rex and Riggy had been loved and well-cared for during their time at the rescue. Godby Ranch is a beautiful place! My husband and I went there over Christmas to help walk dogs. While there we fell in love with a dog. We fostered her and ultimately adopted her. We felt a little bad for taking her away. She was so happy and well cared for. She loved everyone there. We have taken her back many times to let her visit and run in the beautiful pasture. She is always excited to see the staff. We have remained friends with Miriam. Although we are long haul truckers and she travels as much in her rescues as we do.

Even though I adopted my 2 littles from another rescue, I always trusted Godbey Creek and their amazing staff while boarding Reba and Fancy with them. The limited number of dogs boarded at one time, helped contribute to this most needed rescue in our area. They are a crucial part of helping with the crisis we have in our area of over filled shelters and the never ending need for rescues like Godbey Creek.
I had a fantastic adoption experience with Godbey Creek Canine Rescue. My partner and I recently adopted a second dog for our current pet and she has been such a wonderful addition to our family. The staff at the rescue center is so encouraging and helpful. The rescue center is a fantastic facility; the staff certainly cares about the health and care of all dogs! I highly recommend adopting a dog through their organization!
They LOST my dog! Beware, Godbey Creek Canine Rescue and boarding is run by a “board” of people operates with zero compassion for animals or their owners. I saw multiple instances of dogs getting loose! The owner and staff admit it was their fault. After emergently flying home and spending 4.5 days looking for my dog they dared to question my motives on why I came home immediately! They offered to reimburse me and then had an attorney draw up an agreement to keep me quiet in exchange for less than half the expenses it cost me to emergently get home and find Dolly. They went to bed that night and my family and friends never quit looking. I had landed less than four hours when they lost her. I can tell you more of this horrific story and point you towards an honorable rescue that actually cares about animals more than the almighty dollar and attorneys. Beware of this one, they have a history of losing dogs, there is public documentation where they were inspected by the ncagr and were not giving a rescue dog it’s medication, and they absolutely don’t care about pain, suffering, loss of money and time caused by their negligence. This is the most amazing place you will find. Every human at Godbey Creek Canine Rescue is top notch. They way Lucia, Tammy and the rest of the personnel care for the animals is exceptional, not to mention the phenomenal experience adopting a dog there. Mariam is the most compassionate human being there is. She takes this responsibility so serious, she runs the place in such a way, that I don't think anybody can match what she does! She really goes above and beyond to match you with the right dog for your family.

I adopted molly about 5 weeks ago. She is an older girl but perfect in every way. She is laid back and enjoys her short walks and just laying around on her dog bed napping. Miriam was awesome to work with and her priority is the dogs in her care. She was great to work with and stayed on top of the adoption and the issue we had with Molly’s medicine. But she didn’t rest until it was resolved.
This rescue has a top notch facility and thanks to everyone for all they do to rescue these babies. And especially dogs that are harder to place than many dogs like puppies. They take the hard cases most won’t do. Thanks again because of you I have my sweet Molly

Mariam Wright and her staff at Godbey Creek are also beyond compare. They exude caring, competence and patience with my dog — and with me. I’m always amazed at how clean and orderly the facilities are as well.
My commute to Godbey Creek is an hour and a half. Yes, there are places closer to me but none I trust as much with Gracie’s care. This nonprofit is a blessing not only to the rescues, but to those of us who have rescues with special needs.

Godbey Creek Canine does such good work as a rescue. They help with some of the more difficult dogs who've endured neglect and abuse. Every dog they rescue or that gets surrendered receives medical treatment, plus love, attention and nurturing to rehabilitate the dog physically and mentally to prepare them for a good life in a forever home. The rescue does a wonderful job of matching the right pet with the right owner and every staff member genuinely cares about every dog. Sammie is a great example of their love and care. I am both a volunteer and a part time employee of Godbey Creek Canine Rescue. Having had a close up view of how this rescue operates, I simply can't say enough positive things about them. They rescue and place some of the more difficult dogs. Senior dogs, dogs with health issues, etc. They invest the resources to help every dog become healthy, assist with and address behavioral issues and work hard to place them with adoptive families where everyone can be successful and happy. Mariam and her staff are exceptional at evaluating each rescue, understanding it's needs and working hard to match each pet with the right owner. They operate with the utmost integrity and always, always consider what is best for each dog. The photo shows some of the adopted dogs, living good lives in loving homes.

I found myself with a last minute change in living arrangements and was facing the urgent need to re-home two dogs. I frantically reached out to everyone I knew but was only able to place one of my dogs with a family member.
My other dog Moose, pictured, was an anxious but loving soul who had been my support through a divorce and many more of life’s challenges. In consequence I was determined to find her a suitable home.
Enter Godbey Canine - they worked with me to place Moose in a great home where I know she will be loved and have a good life. I owed her that much!!!

Godbey Creek Canine Rescue is heaven for any dogs that find themselves there. The rescue is nestled quietly on 52 acres of beautiful land in Davie County. With 20+ kennels and 20+ fresh air lots for dogs to be housed, huge fenced in yards for running and playing, wooded trails for taking dogs on walks, and great quality equipment/pet supplies, the dogs are plenty well cared for. Everyone who works at Godbey Creek cares so deeply for the animals that come through.
I volunteered at Godbey Creek Canine Rescue for 8 months while I lived in North Carolina. I photographed over 45 adoptable dogs while volunteering. I feel honored to have been able to capture the personalities of so many dogs in such a beautiful place.
I know every dog that is taken to Godbey Creek will be treated like family, with the purpose of finding the dog's forever home. I highly recommend supporting this rescue either through adoption, donation, or boarding your pets there if you are in the area.
We had a very good adoption experience with Godbey Creek Canine Rescue. We were not in the market for another dog (already had 2, plus an elderly cat), but Godbey Creek does a good job of sharing their adorable adoptees on social media. I happened to see Harry's photo, and just couldn't resist him. I filled out an adoption form (as did quite a few others from what I understand), and was pleasantly surprised when I got the call to come meet him. My first visit with him went very well. We took a walk on the beautiful grounds of the rescue and spent some time together. Harry was very personable and didn't seem overly anxious. I then returned a few days later with my two dogs, and they all got along well, so we decided to make Harry a family member. I had some out of state family matters to attend to, so they were very accommodating with my schedule to make the placement happen. Harry has quite the personality and seems to have settled in with us all quite well. He and our 2 year old Lab mix get along famously, and he loves a good cuddle with any and all pets and humans. As with many rescue pets, he does have some separation anxiety and can cause some mischief (picture feathers all over the house from a chewed pillow ;-)), but his good nature and hugs more than makes up for the occasional oops. How can you not fall in love with this face? PS - Harry was not this his original name. We created a fundraiser for the Rescue to help name him. I selected several names that I liked, then had friends pay $5 to Godbey Creek per vote for the name they most liked. Harry narrowly won the vote, and approximately $400 (I don't remember the exact amount) was raised for the organization.
We learned about Godbey Creek Canine Rescue through a friend, who had just adopted a dog with them. We have been bringing our two German shepherds there for over 2 years now. We wanted to support them and the puppies and dogs they rescue and rehabilitate with our boarding. Our experience was amazing! Everyone there is loving and caring, Miriam KNOWS dogs and provides the best care for our shepherds! They are always supporting our pets and their needs, we truly appreciate Godbey Creek Canine Rescue’s owner and staff.
Miriam and the Godbey Creek Canine Rescue Inc is an absolutely wonderful and caring facility! I have boarded my year and half old Labrador, Mitchell, there a couple of times. Once when my aging mother, sister and took a trip to the Outer Banks for a week. Miriam and the handlers sent me pictures periodically and gave me updates giving me peace of mind that he was doing well. When my father passed away, Miriam took Mitchell, on the spur of the moment, as we had many family members coming in and funeral arrangements to make.
Each time I have picked up Mitchell, he has been happy to see me and looked well fed and even one time before jumping into the car, he ran back to the handler as if to say goodbye before returning to us to head home. I thoroughly recommend Godbey for boarding rather daily or weekly. They have always accommodated me in everyway. Every time I have visited there, the grounds and facilities is very clean and well-kept. All the other dogs look happy and healthy. You all are awesome! Thank you for your wonderful services!!!!! Our baby Maggie Mae came from Godbey Creek. We have left her there twice when we went on vacation since she already knows the place. The people that work there are very kind. I am sure that we will be using them again in the future. I highly recommend them
We adopted our sweet dog from Godbey Creek. It was a great experience. They have beautiful facilities that are clean and have a lot of land for the dogs to run around in. They were excellent at communicating and made adopting her a breeze. They take good care of their pups and make sure they all find loving, safe homes.
With an abusive owner, the dog had a terrible start in life. His owner was reported and the dog wound up at the shelter, but with a terrible case of heart worms. Sick dogs don't stand much of a chance of adoption.
Fortunately, Godbey Creek gave him one. They brought him into their rescue and nursed him back to health, until he was fully recovered.
That's when I met him. I hadn't planned to adopt that day, but Bear clearly chose me. Godbey Creek worked with me so that we could make sure that my cat was going to be equally accepting.
Bear's become a cherished part of the family. Everyone who meets him falls in love with him, because his mission in life is to love the world. Every single day I'm grateful to have him. And every day I'm grateful that Godbey Creek invested the time, money and care to make it all possible.

I have been involved with Godbey Creek Canine Rescue the last several years as a donor, board member and boarding customer. The devotion of the founder and staff to the core mission of rescuing dogs, providing excellent care and training, and taking extensive efforts to ensure a good match between pet and adopter is outstanding. I have been involved as a volunteer and board member with Godbey Creek Canine Rescue for almost 3 years. In that time, I have come to learn much about how the rescue operates, and the incredible love and caring for dogs that exists within this organization.
Every dog that comes into the rescue, regardless of how it gets there, the condition it is in, and the way it responds to the caregivers, is treated as a member of the family. The facilities themselves are awesome, with air conditioned and heated indoor kennels for each dog, as well as airy, shaded outdoor kennels for when the weather is nice. There are numerous outdoor dog pastures where they can get exercise by themselves, with visitors and care givers, or with other dogs. The facilities are immaculate, and great care is given to not only meet but exceed all requirements for dog boarding and rescue facilities.
The same care that goes to the dogs also applies to getting them ready for their future new homes, by ensuring they are house and crate trained, socialized with people and other dogs, and medically prepared with spaying/neutering, shots, and addressing any medical ailments they have. People wishing to adopt one of these dogs complete a detailed application form and there is a thorough vetting process to ensure there is a good match between the dog and the adopters. If a dog is aggressive toward cats, then the rescue will not send the dog to a home with cats as pets. Furthermore, if for any reason, the adopting family chooses not to keep the pet they've adopted, it must be returned to Godbey Creek. That way, the care of the dog becomes of paramount importance.
Any dog that lands in Godbey Creek Canine Rescue is very fortunate, because it will receive loving care for the rest of its natural life. Any one who adopts a pet from Godbey Creek will receive a wonderful companion that is especially matched to them. The result is there is an exceptionally low return rate.
Overall, it would be hard to imagine any dog rescue having more to offer dogs and adoptors than Godbey Creek Canine Rescue. I'm proud to be associated with this organization.
After losing two of our fur babies, we realized our oldest gal needed a gentle giant to help her follow basic cues. Her senility had progressed, but she had been following her pack to know when to eat, rest, go outside.
We saw a post on Petfinder for what we hoped would be our answer. The Godbey Creek facility and staff were amazing. Some rescues are simply looking to rehome pups. This organization is truly concerned with matching dogs with their best homes, based on needs and personalities. We walked around with Biggie and within 5 minutes I knew we had found our newest family member.
Mariam told us that Biggie was a special dog and boy is he!! He was an angel for our sweet Bella’s last few weeks. And now he has a new, much younger sister - a hound mix who thankfully likes to copy him.
We always plan to adopt dogs and will always keep an eye on Godbey Creek’s rescues. We’ve also sent several family and friends their way! Their integrity and care is second to none.
Last summer, we had a very emaciated momma English Mastiff and one very sick mastiff puppy approach my husband in the garden. We brought them in, took them to the emergency vet immediately as we were concerned the puppy wouldn’t survive without vet care. Neither dog had I.D. or a microchip. Several hours later, we returned home with momma and puppy and settled them in to their new, safe place. The puppy was still trying to nurse although mom’s milk was dried up. She was so very patient and would let him nurse. What a good momma!
I contacted Godbey Creek rescue the following week for help and took the dogs to meet Jessica. We came up with a plan for me to foster them and Jessica would help me place them and screen families for their new homes. I was anxious placing them without guidance as I felt they had suffered abuse in the past and wanted to guarantee a bright future for them. I kept them for seven weeks. Godbey creek paid for momma to be spayed and puppy to be neutered and associated vet visits. I donated the rest of their care, which I volunteered to do. I was so thankful for their help.Fromm dog food donated two large bags of food when they heard their story. Jessica helped me find wonderful homes for them and both dogs are thriving! This is an amazing organization. I am so grateful to them. Thank you, Godbey Creek!
Words cannot express our gratitude and admiration for Godbey Creek Canine Rescue. We lost our Lab, three years earlier and were ready for another dog that needed us as much as we needed her. Mariam spent time interviewing me to understand my families experience, patience and commitment to adopting an adult dog. The dog we were interested in was placed with another family, I was heartbroken. Mariam then called me two days later and told me that she asked them to return the dog, because she did not believe it was a good placement. She was honest about the challenges we faced. Our "baby" had spent 2 1/2 years tied up outside and was surrendered because she had been placed on Prozac and still barked constantly. She was not socialized and afraid of everything. After a few days of persistence she became completely house broken. We followed the advice and recommendations we got from Godbey Rescue and after 6 months, as you can see from the pictures, she is completely acclimated and loving her new home. It is evident when you watch the interactions of the staff and their "fur babies" that they genuinely love each and every dog under their care. If you are considering adoption, PLEASE reach out to Godbey Creek Canine Rescue. My family will continue to financially support them every year.
I have been involved with a few non-profits but in my humble opinion nobody has a greater passion for their mission than Godbey Creek Canine Rescue. Their founder Mariam Wright and her team makes every effort to ensure that dogs are rescued in the broadest sense: Starting with taking them in a really nice facility, providing the best health care and ending with placing them carefully in the appropriate homes. Our family has adopted two dogs from GCCR and we could not be happier.
I was impressed with Godbey Creek Canine the moment I drove through the gates and I've been boarding my dogs there ever since. I feel comfortable leaving my dogs at Godbey Creek knowing that they get personal attention, fresh air and exercise, and are staying in a clean, safe environment. GCCR is such a scenic, peaceful place to volunteer. I've enjoyed being able to get to know, and photograph many of the dogs that are waiting for their forever homes.
I adopted Bear from Godbey Creek, and have never looked back. This place is amazing with a thorough vetting process, celebrations/reunions (pictures with Santa) to keep family & fur babies connected, and I have found 2 of my cherished, lifelong friends- Myra (human) and Bear . Although I only had 4 short years with this wonderful animal, GC did an outstanding job in matching him with me and my other fur babies. Bear became the love of my entire neighborhood's lives and we all grieved upon his passing. GC renewed my faith in exceptional rescue missions who truly have the best interests of the fur babies and their owners in mind.

Our son has been asking for a dog for three years, since he was 7 years old. Last year, on his 9th birthday, we told him that if he spent the next year demonstrating proper maturity, self-control, and responsibility with his chores that we would get him a dog when he turned 10. We spent that year talking about dogs, learning about dogs, and praying for God to give us the right dog for our son and family. When it came time to start actively looking, we had two different people at different times mention the wonderful experience they had had at Godbey Creek. We checked out the website and went out to visit several dogs. They were wonderful to work with, they gave our family a chance when other rescues/shelters would not, and it was obvious they took exquisite care of the dogs under their responsibility. So, the day after our son turned 10, we came home from Godbey Creek with Nate "the Great", ours prayers answered for the exact right dog for our son and family. All dogs are given the best in medical care, and they are even given clean bedding daily and a dog cookie snack at bedtime! All adopted dogs are crate trained, temperament tested, and fully vetted. Godbey Creek is honest about the temperament, traits, and habits of each dog, ensuring that all dogs are matched with the best possible adopters. Adopters are given a packet of information to help them be the best possible dog parents, including a month of heartworm prevention. Godbey Creek also saves dogs of all ages and types from kill shelters. I honestly cannot say how truly impressed I was with their program, the condition of the dogs, the facilities, the absolute dedication of the staff and volunteers, and the outstanding care given to each and every rescue dog. I support this rescue financially because I believe in their mission and I know that the money I give is used in direct support of that mission. I have seen it in action.
This rescue focuses on placing the right dog in the right home. They take outstanding care of the animals. The best of care and training are given to all. I also know that the money I give goes directly to the care of the animals.
Mariam (founder of Godbey Creek) is one of the most compassionate people I have ever met. Her concern for our furry friends is apparent, and she lives a self-sacrificing life to go above and beyond to rescue those in need.
Staff and volunteers are wonderful. Everyone went out of their way to make sure we found the right dog for our family and the transition home went smoothly. Our boy was so well cared for at Godbey Creek. We’re forever grateful.
I found “the sweetest boy in the world” at GodbeyCreek via Petfinder. They are very careful about who is able to adopt. That’s one way that shows how much Mariam and others at GodbeyCreek care about the animals they rescue. They are truly a 5 star Rescue in so many ways. I will only adopt from GodbeyCreek. Moxey, aka Austin, came home to us in perfect health. He was up-to-date on all his shots and had been neutered, was trained, and knows to sit in the other room while we are eating. I, too, came across Godbey Creek through Petfinder's. Mariam and her staff are phenomenal. After losing our Boodee' to Congestive Heart Failure, we quickly realized that we had to get another furbaby. They are very careful to do extreme vetting of those wishing to adopt. Thankfully, we passed. Moxey, a.k.a. Austin, came to live with us in April, 2016. He was a scared little fellow at first. Now he owns the place. He was found in February behind bushes, covered in mud, and shivering from the cold. Godbey Creek took him to the Vet, got him examined, up to date on shots, and put him on heartworm and flea/tick meds. He is house trained and was crate trained
Godbey Creek is a top notch operation. The pets are well cared for, exercised and loved, the facility is immaculate and the grounds are spectacular.
Their policy of ‘if the dog doesn’t work, it must return to us’ tells me that they are truly emotionally invested in each pet’s well being.
We adopted our pet Nicholas from GC and he is the perfect pet for us offering hours upon hours of love and entertainment. GC was fully transparent about his traits which we appreciated.
I highly recommend Godbey Creek; they are considered a premier organization in this area.
I cannot say enough about GCCR Inc. I was looking for a lab mix for our new family pet, after looking several hours online I came across a black lab mix at GCCR Inc. She was beautiful. I reached out to them to find out a little more information. They were prompt in responding and could not have been more genuine. I made the trip of an hour and a half to see and visit with the dog I had seen. After visiting I was convinced she was the dog for us. The only problem was we were getting ready to leave for vacation and did not want to have our new pet in a strange place. GCCR Inc. staff offered to keep her there until we returned home. It was a pleasure to work with the staff of GCCR Inc. It's been almost a year and our "girl" is the best pet we've ever owned. Thanks Godbey Creek Canine Rescue for all you do!
My husband had been wanting a dog for a long time but I wasn't quite there yet. A few months ago it was like a switch went off & I was ready to take on this new responsibility. We researched some places nearby & decided to take a trip to Mocksville to Godbey Creek. We were greeted by Melissa & she explained the process. After meeting & spending time with 3 dogs, the 2nd meeting was a HUGE match. I couldn't believe how much love I felt for the young dog we had just met. A few days later we got the call that she was ours! How exciting! They made the process smooth & simple from beginning to end. I can't say enough good things about this place. The cleanliness & care for their animals are obvious. If you're planning on adopting, volunteering, or donating to this place, you will NOT be disappointed. Place them a visit & see for yourself!
Godbey Creek has been EXCELLENT to work with! We've just adopted a K9 kid and have had a terrific experience. The facilities are top notch, the volunteers very helpful and responsive, and the process overall was very professional. We made two visits to the rescue to visit our prospective dog prior to the adoption, and Melissa let us stay as long as we wanted, answering all of our questions. Adoption day went very smoothly - they provided us all records, explained the contract clearly, and sent us home with a binder of info, extra food, etc. Post adoption they continue to be responsive with questions (thank you Mariam!!!) and generally supporting us as we adjust to our new dog. These folks care deeply about their animals. We most highly recommend them!
After months of searching for the right dog and numerous other rescues telling us about their dogs that "would be a great fit", we found Godbey Creek Rescue on Petfinder. I spoke to their owner to inquire about a dog we saw on their site and explained that we had 2 small children and were looking for an adult dog who would be a good fit. She immediately said we should also take a look at 'Gunner'. We did come out to see him and few other friends and Gunner was the perfect fit for our family with such a calm disposition for small children (and he's a 100 lb lab). I was beyond impressed with their ability to recognize what new owners needed in a dog to make it a lifelong match. They also spent the time to do a home visit and make sure their dog was going to be a good fit. Gunner is an amazing fit to our family and we would recommend Godbey Creek to anyone looking to rescue.
I cannot say enough positive things about Godbey Creek Canine Rescue and Mariam Wright and Myra McConigle. Having lost our two previous rescues to cancer within a year of each other, we had been without a dog for three years when my wife decided that as empty-nesters we needed a new dog. As she searched through petfinder she came across a St. Bernard/Spaniel mix named "Beethoven" at Godbey Creek. When she went to meet him, I thinks she fell in love with the Rescue as well as the dog. We were not previously familiar with the Rescue, but on working with them found we had never been associated with a rescue that was as committed to making the right connection between dog and "adopted human". I recommend Godbey Creek to anyone looking for a dog, without reservation.
Oh by the way we ended up with not one dog from Godbey Creek, but a second, a Newfoundland/Retriever mix. I write this review with Buster "Beethoven" Brown and Beau "Vaughn" Black at my feet. Yes, we're fans of big sweet dogs and even bigger fans of Godbey Creek Canine Rescue.
Godbey Creek is an amazing rescue. I volunteered here as well as adopted a dog from here. The staff truly cares about these animals. The animals become a part of their family and it's kind of a crazy thing because it's sad when the animals leave because you've had all this time bonding and taking care of them but you know that the staff at the rescue has thoroughly took the time to pick the perfect home for the dog. I am really glad I have been able to witness this first hand. I have volunteered with other animal shelter/rescues but never really felt like the animals were really put as the number one top first priority and that is definitely the case with Godbey Creek. I don't feel like I could ever say enough good things about this rescue because of the amazing things I've witnessed them do. Not every dog that comes into the rescue is an easy to adopt dog but one amazing thing that I have been able to witness is the staffs ability to work with these dog and turn these cases around. Some of the stories are really heart warming. Godbey Creek is really a heaven sent.
Shelter Animals Advocates has worked with Godbey Creek several times on placing our heartworm positive dogs. Mariam and Godbey Creek are professional and caring and do an excellent job rescuing and placing dogs.

My daughter and I liked Megan's picture and information on Petfinder. We talked to Godbey Creek and we were so impressed with how caring and responsive they were. They checked out our references and talked to our vet and invited us to come for a visit. It was several hours away but so worth the drive to work with a shelter that provides sch outstanding care for their dogs. We loved Megan and adopted her and she is a member of the family. Godbey Creek sets the standard for rescue. The dogs get outstanding care but the people are positive, professional and amazing to work with.
It was kind of like destiny that Adirondack Save A Stray and Godbey Creek Canine Rescue came to work together. We have been associated for a short time but our experience has been wonderful. Together we have saved so many precious fur-babies that would have been euthanized if it was not for Godbey Creek assisting with bringing them to safety. Adirondack Save A Stray has worked with a lot of other rescues but never has it been so easy with such a pleasant experience. Rescue is a hard business and sometimes very depressing. But when the rescues are on the same page and work together it makes it easier all the way around. I came to Godbey Creek initially as support for my best friend as she was picking out one of her furbabies. Mariam, the owner of the rescue, wanted to show my friend some of her older dogs and brought out Cookie, who immediately ran straight to me. I fell in love with this beautiful dog and decided to adopt her. The process of adopting Cookie was simple yet effective. I appreciate Godbey Creek taking the time to check references to see if I was a good fit for Cookie. It's clear that from day 1, this rescue's goal is find wonderful permanent homes for their very loving dogs. They are also extremely fair and truly want to help out their rescue dogs any way they can. The whole staff at Godbey Creek was very willing to answer all my questions and provide recommendations for various dog food, boarding, etc. After such a wonderful adoption experience, I was able to start volunteering for Godbey Creek. That was another wonderful experience, as I got to see how much each staff member cares and loves the dogs they rescue. I am so thankful for everything this rescue has done, its continued hard work to protect dogs and place them in loving homes, and for giving me the best friend a girl could ever ask for.
Hi, I adopted Rusty, a boxer mix, back in May from Godbey Creek. I have nothing but excellent things to say. They made sure we both were the right fit for each other. They were extremely flexible with me and that really meant a lot to me! I was able to visit him maybe 5-6 times before I adopted him in Mid May of 2016.
