God Provides Ministry- Pomona Valley Food Bank

God Provides Ministry Food Bank has been around since 1996 and incorporated in 2003. Today it has grown from a local pantry to a Regional Food Bank supporting panties and many organizations from homeless outreaches, Church Communities, rehabilitation organizations, community events, sober living homes, and Veterans Organization. Were relocating our organization to a address unknown at the time of this post. It has been amazing to support the local area and prayers go out to families that might have difficulties during our transition. We need Prayer and support and I will post new location

I live up in Lytle creek blue cut fire just burned right next to my community of happy jack but I work in El Monte we have alot of family's on fix income or low income we lost power for 4 days and all the food in our fridges spoiled so I Allen Allen to see if there's any way they could help he set us up with a full van of food this help many children and even more elderly thank you Allen at God provides thank you for helping us is our time of need

God Provides Food Banks offer a very affordable price for the food, especially the family pack, $25 for up to 100 lbs food of good variety, including veggies, fruits, meat, dairy, and bread, etc. And their money goes to donation and help the homeless in the community. Nice service, and god bless.

I signed up for serving hours in this food bank because of academic requirement. After I have been for several times, I realized that there are a big population out there need our service and food. I haven't thought much about it before my service. We need to serve people with our minds and hearts, even though the population we serve is at low SES or homeless, we do our best to make sure the food are affordable and fresh to eat. I am glad that I found this place and wish to go back some day.

God Provides Ministry, Native American Food Bank has been not only offer aide and support for many organizations but it has also been providing refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers, microwaves, crock pots, clothing, tooth brushes, soap, and many more basic need items. Native American food bank has also distribute food and supplies to several orphanages. They believe that a healthy diet helps prevent bad grades to illnesses. Wonderful Organization.

This food bank has truly been a blessing. We started going here a year ago and have been able to put food on the table ever since. I don't know what my family would have done without the services they provide. During tough times it is great knowing someone is there to help. The staff is always friendly and helpful and you are treated like family. Pastor Allen is an incredible person and always has a great story to share as well.

This food bank provides our family of five with nearly everything we need to eat for the entire week. We have been able to get fresh produce. dairy products, staples and meats all for $20 - $25. Everything is packaged and ready to place in our car. Volunteers are friendly and helpful, respectful. Thank you!

As a client, I was extremely impressed. They are vary friendly and helpful. You can come in for the emergency food weekly. We were told they give homeless people free lunches. For $25 a family can buy 100 pounds of food, or for $100 vouchers good for 5 weeks of family packs (100 pounds of food). Volunteers who serve a seven hour day are given a free "family pack". Extra food can be bought at an inexpensive price such as $1 for crackers or $5 for a meat pack. Products are mostly frozen, but large quantities of fresh fruits and vegetables are available, as well as dairy products such as milk and yogurts.

I met Pastor Allen December 10, 2013, excited to start our new ministry, "His House Helps Ministries" I entered into an extremely large room filled with rows and rows of food, with only a $100. Pastor Allen, warmly embraced our ministry and gave us well over $100, of food. I was extremely blessed and impressed with his love and kindness for our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

It does not get any better than this.This place is the BEST!! And Poster Alan Is truly a gift from God...He care about the people that come into the food bank.He is so very kind I am very Blessed to have met him I will always be grateful for everything that he has done...I will always go to God Provides they give great food for for just a small amount of money...

I was volunteering on skid ow when I heard about this organization donating food to our kitchen. Wow, the food was fresh produce and meats. We feed hundreds of people daily ad they were our main source of food for the kitchen. When the kitchen closed due to funding I started volunteering at God Provides Food Bank and they take a lot of personal pride building the family packages and feeding the local homeless. I am proud to be apart of this food bank and tell everyone about it.

From the first time I needed real assistance with food to feed my family I was never aware of any assistance like this one.
Since I found out about The God Provides Ministry Food bank I have been most thankful to be able to feed my family during these hard times. Especially when one loses a job and the stress of keeping a roof over our heads and feeding us with a very small budget isn't bad enough.
From the first day I went to purchase a Family Pack of food I was surprised by all that was included.
I had meat, fruit, vegetables, bread, milk, eggs, and lots of other items that we couldn't afford otherwise.
From the moment you walk in you feel welcomed, the staff is very friendly, and they will assist you in taking the items to your car. Since it is 100 pounds of food, it is appreciated.
I am very grateful for this food bank and i advise anyone who also needs this kind of assistance to check them out.

I have been working for the Food Bank about a year now and have had first hand experience on how thankful our clients are for the help. I have volunteered at a few different places. But, volunteering here has been very rewarding. I would highly recommend this place to everyone i know.

This is an amazing program that has allowed several of my disabled client's to be able to eat. The service is warm, friendly and always ready to assist you in every way.

As a Veterans advocate working at this time on an employment program for female Veterans and Veterans with Families, our relationship with God Provides Food Bank is a vital resource. We have been utilizing this service for approximately a year. Since going to the voucher program our use of this facility has increased. It is very reassuring to know that our participants will receive a great amount of good quality food. I would give God Provides 6 stars if I could because they really do go above and beyond to provide an amazing quality service.

Very generous and their help is so appreciated during these hard times. They help without passing any judgment as to who you may be or why you are there. Very open and comfortable and I am humbled by their generosity every time I am there as they have helped my daughter and I avoid going hungry many times. Good quality food as well!

This place is unbelievable!!!!! In more ways than I can count. About 4 years ago I was laid off and was standing in line at the unemployment office and saw this flyer that said a 100 pounds of food for $20. RIGHT, I figured it had to be a scam. So since I had time on my hands and they were close by, I would check it out. WOW, was I blown away. Not only was it true, it was fast and easy. After few minutes and a small donation, they brought the food on a cart and loaded it into my car and I was on my way. That evening I not only had a good dinner, I was glad that good people are still in this world!!! Way to go GPM.

This is by far the best food bank in Los Angeles. I feel as though the owner and staff care. This place has helped my family out tremendously. Because of this place, my husband and I have been able to thoroughly feed our children. I highly recommend this place if you are in a financially low place. They also offer opportunies for volunteering if you do not have the $20 to pay for the family package. Best place!

This is a food ministry like no other. I was amazed by how much good food you get for only $20. I know some food ministries don't charge anything, but you can't go everyday and get what you get here. This ministry has bills to pay too to keep a community fed and provided.
I am a pastor and sometimes we fall on hard times. I was made known about this ministry and went down. I received so much food that we had to share it with others. I can't tell you what a blessing this ministry is. They do so much for people and families in need. I even had the privileged to help them one day fill gift bags for families in need. God Provides Food Ministry is a blessing like no other. Keep up the good work and God bless you.

I have been to God Provides when they use to be on Doreen years ago..I have always received Groceries that my whole family can use. And from a food bank thats not easy when you have a daughter that is a vegetarian. There has been many times that she gets soy products such as Lactaid Milk. and Soy Milk . Yogurt and fruits and vegetables, All the items are fresh not expired and we get so much I can share with my Uncle. I have been to God Provides when I didn't even have money to pay for the family pack and I was treated exactly the same as if I would of had it. They are kind and caring and I pray that they stay in this Ministry for a very Long Long time..Thank you so Much God Provides.

I am a Chaplain for a hospice organization. I have picked up food for our patients on several occasions. I am always amazed at the quality and variety of food that is offered. The people seem friendly and they are a true blessing to all they serve.

I have volunteered with similar programs when I was employed with Bank of America. While giving food to those in need is a worthy cause, the bank never made it a point to mention God, fearing it may offend some. God Provides serves the community with feeding the hungry and feeding the spiritual needs of those who seek guidance, ensuring all needs are met, not just the physical. The organization is run by loving, caring individuals who truly believe they are doing God's work. Their enthusiasm is contagious and the evironment is always positve. Members of the city council have recognized their work. They are an excellent example of local people doing good!!

God Provides is a caring organization, big hearts doing big things through out Los Angeles County and beyond. Native American Food bank distributing food to local Tribes and feeding the homeless daily. Providing free clothing and turing away noone in need.
