My name is Bethany Nelson. I am 32 years old and a single mom to four young children - ages 8, 7 and 6 year old twins. The father of my 4 children and I came to Glorybound over 7 years ago - I was pregnant with my twins at the time... I walked through Glorybound's doors not even really knowing much about their ministry - it was a Friday evening; there were families and children bustling around everywhere! Sharon was cooking a turkey dinner for the families and it smelled so good! I was taken back at first, by the warmth and kindness of everyone around me - I had just walked in, unannounced - and yet, everyone was so inviting! Sharon asked us all to stay for dinner after doing an intake with my family. We felt awkward and embarrassed, but Sharon and her husband John put us right at ease. We went home that night with 2 bags of groceries and hygiene items, as well as a buscard for Daniel (children's father) to get to his new job. We were shown so much love ! And by complete strangers! We bagan to regularly attend Glorybound on Friday nights. Because we didn't have a car, Glorybound picked us all up every week - and continued to pick us up - even when we moved clear across town! Over the years, Glorybound has been a family to me! They helped continually with food, milk vouchers, hygiene items, bus cards, holiday assistance and transportation. And most importantly - they nourished our souls with the Word of God. Sharon, John (rest in Peace) and their son Jeff are GENUINE Christian people! I love this ministry and don't know where I'd be without it!

When my husband was in Teen Challenge I attended Glorybound with my kids. We were able to spend time as a family. Glorybound supported my kids and i emotionally and also received assistance around Christmas time and Thanksgiving. I was very thankful that this was available to my family. Sharon is great and is always thinking about others. She is very passionate about helping families with addiction. I would recommend this to any family struggling with addiction! THANK YOU SHARON for all you do!

If it was not for Glorybound and the support they provided me and my children would probably be homeless and in danger. This organization helped me find my strength and taught our family how to function.

When we help only the person with the addiction there is a high chance they will not make it on there own for very long. They go home to a family who has never gotten the help they need. This ministry does work with the whole family and because of that we all got the help we needed and my husband is sober 7 Years now.

About 6 years ago I had reached rock bottom and I had taken my wife and 3 small children with me. It was a very dark time for all of us. I was incarcerated and after jail, I had the opportunity to get my own life figured out by going to a treatment center, but my family was left with no support outside of immediate family. Eventually during the time of my incarceration, we discovered glorybound, where my family was given meals, shown love and unbelieveable support, and my wife given the opportunity to grow with me as I got my head on straight. Today we are more happy together than we have ever been, we own our own home, my wife and I both have very promising careers, and my children are happy and doing incredible in school. I'm very proud to have been a part of glorybound and we would not be even close to where we are today without them in our lives. Glorybound will always hold a very special place in my heart and I hope that many more families have the opportunity that we did
