Programs: Prevention & care: ebola prevention global strategies ensures adequate personal protective gear and trained staff in the identification of ebola are present at clinics in the catholic health network in liberia. The catholic health network is present in approximately 2/3 of liberian counties. education & training: education and training of healthcare providers is a component of every global strategies project. While we address urgent healthcare needs, we invest in the long term health of the community through education. Zimbabwe (65 healthcare workers trained), goma, north kivu province (147 hcw trained), bukavu, south kivu province (272 hcw trained), india (520 hcw trained). Scholarships global strategies supports advanced post-graduate education of local providers. In the democratic republic of congo, we are currently supporting a physician receiving a specialization in pediatrics, a nurse who is receiving a masters degree in public health and a physician receiving a masters in health program administration. We are also supporting a cohort of nurses in monrovia, liberia.
monitoring and evaluation: global strategies follows the highest standard in monitoring and evaluating projects using a combination of direct site visits and innovative remote monitoring systems. Our work in this area has been recognized internationally. Global strategies collects daily data from some of the most remote parts of africa to fill critical data gaps and improve the data collection capacity of local partners.
