I’ve worked with them for 10+ years and I’m still in awe of all the good work happening, all the willing people and the many difficult efforts that come with sacrifice. Following God isn’t simple or easy, but necessary and beneficial for all that partake. I see this in real time with this ministry and on a daily basis. They should get 6 stars!
G.O.D. International is by far the best non-profit organization that I know, from the people that serve within the organization to the programs that they put-on. I have gotten the privilege to volunteer with the CASE program for 6 years . This program serves many families in the greater Nashville area at 3 MNPS middle schools and 1 LEAD middle school. The program continues to grow in both numbers and quality and the retention of the youth in their program to the testimonies say so much more. I also really love that G.O.D. International hits all ages with the services that they render from K-elderly to the immigrants and refugees to those living abroad. The work they do is impacting so many not only here nationally, but also internationally. I highly recommend this organization. Thank you for the privilege to volunteer with you all.
This is a wonderful non profit in Nashville! I wanted to learn more about helping my local community and they had several programs for underprivileged youth, immigrants and refugees, English learners, nutrition education, and more here that have been so valuable and wonderful to see at work. The people truly care about their community, both in Nashville and in the regions they serve abroad.
I've loved every experience that I've had the blessing of being a part of with G.O.D. Int'l. The people who are a part of this nonprofit are committed to learning the Word and serving the poor as Jesus did- and it's evident in their ministry. I had the blessing of getting to serve abroad on my first mission trip with them to El Salvador, and it was a life-changing experience. The way they serve is modeled after how Jesus did. It's empowering, humanizing, and healing for those they come in contact with. I would highly recommend serving alongside this organization- it will bless you more than you could expect!
I have been working with this non-profit for the last 15 years both international and national work. They have a dedication to the type of work that is focused on long term results in communities in the USA and abroad and that impacts everything from sustainable agriculture, access to clean water, holistic education for k-12 kids, and even after school programming. Their goals are not short term and have and continue to have a resounding impact which is why I have continued to work with them for such a number of years.
I started volunteering with Global Outreach Developments Int’l 11 years ago. I really had no skill, just a call to serve. Yet in my service through the years, it is I who have been built up by the members and leaders of this organization. They’ve identified gifts I have and supported me as I’ve grown into someone with actual skill to offer. That’s the thing about serving with this organization—you aren’t just wanted for your time or money. YOU are the resource, and there is so much support given as you grow into someone who is an agent of change in the world. My life is so rich and meaningful being a part of this organization who sincerely love God, and love the people they come in contact with.
For over the last decade, I've volunteered with GOD Int'l in a variety of programs related to youth, refugees & immigrants, and international development efforts. There is big talk in the development world about, "Impact over Intention." I'm thankful to say that, since the beginning, GOD Int'l & its members have cared about their impact in Nashville & international regions.

Volunteering with GOD Int'l has been one of the best things I've done in my life. Over the last decade, I've come to greatly appreciate how this organization keeps PEOPLE at the center of all they do, both in their work locally and abroad. I've served with several other organizations but, none incorporate their organizational values (education, empowerment, advocacy) into their work as well as GOD Int'l.
I love Global Outreach Developments International. I have volunteered with the organization for 15 years and can confidently say that I have been able to actively serve locally (in Nashville) and abroad in ways that have developed my skills to be a more confident and compassionate citizen.
Volunteering with GOD International for over a decade now has blessed me and my family. We participate in programs both nationally and internationally and deeply believe in the mission and vision of the organization. The leadership is characterized by integrity and faith. I'm so thankful for the way our family has been impacted by GOD International and the opportunity we have to serve with the organization.
My first experience working as a volunteer with this organization was in the winter of 2005. At that point in my life, I had worked with SEVERAL international nonprofits who were interested in addressing the needs of the poor in other countries. I was expecting the same approach and methods but boy, was I wrong.
It was all the things I hoped it could be. There was no "white savior"approach, all the work we did was centered on meeting the needs of the people we worked with in Mexico. We didn't just go to a random village and pretend we knew what we were doing. No. There were long standing relationships developed with the people. The leaders could communicate in Spanish. We stayed in host homes with families and ate meals together. Every part of the trip was such a beautiful experience.
I continued my education at the Institute for G.O.D and graduated with a Bachelor's in Community Development, as well as a Certified Childbirth Educator. My education in learning how to serve people based on learning the Bible has given me such a rich and diverse experience in serving people all over the world. That first trip in 2005 was life changing. I wanted to live with the kind of love and passion as the leaders, and I've been able to do that. I could go on and on but that is just one piece that has always stuck with me.
I have had only the best experiences working both nationally and internationally with G.O.D International. Specifically working abroad has had lasting impact on my perspective for international development work. My experience is there is a genuine concern for people to be empowered abroad. If you are looking for a group to do development work with that is deeply invested into empowerment, sustainability, and providing life giving services to those who need it, this is the group. I have worked with them for about 10 years in the Philippines and I can say from first hand experience that the ministry going on there by G.O.D Int'l is both run by the local people and those involved have been empowered and are empowering others to do everything from widow and orphan care, to prison ministries, to tutoring and other essential services. This is life altering long lasting work that I believe is something anyone interested in working abroad should experience.
G.O.D. International is an exceptional organization I've volunteered with for over a decade. Through my volunteering, I have seen its mission and vision actualized both locally and internationally. G.O.D. Int'l brings the authentic love of God to each demographic it serves, and it is a privilege to serve with them.
I am deeply impressed by the people and work of Global Outreach Developments International. I myself have had the privilege of working with the organization both here in the US and internationally in several countries, but most recently in East Africa. I've worked in regards to their agricultural initiatives partnering with a local school, and growing food for their lunch program as well as the local community.
G.O.D. emphasis's the ability of their local cooperatives being able to adequately lead projects and access the needs that exist in their communities. This type of training and development with cooperatives on the ground has been such an incredible thing to see! Men and Women, empowered through education to serve those in need, in their communities, it's truly incredible!
I can't recommend them, or their work more!
Coming from a ministry family, I knew that God had a special calling for me. However, it's much easier to feel called into ministry than to actually know how and where to get plugged into serving the "least of these." G.O.D. Int'l is the answer to this problem. 13 years ago I learned about this organization and since then I have not once had to wonder where or how I could make a difference. If you have a full time job and want to do some volunteering on the weekend, G.O.D. can plug you in. If you are just graduating college and want to go to a college that prepares you for a career of ministry at home or abroad, G.O.D. can do that too. If you want to serve God by serving people and you aren't interested in wasting your time or money, I'm telling you, Global Outreach Developments International!! I've gone through their college, my kids attend their academy, and I regularly volunteer in programs in Nashville and in India. This place is the best.
I had the opportunity to volunteer with G.O.D. Int'l in their after school program CASE, through their partnership with MNPS and the Nashville Public Library for several years. Having volunteered with several afterschool/tutoring programs in the past, I expected a similar experience. CASE, however, was exemplary in the quality of programming that they offered students and training given to volunteers and staff. I was so thankful to learn how to better support students both academically and emotionally during their middle school years. My time volunteering with CASE was truly one of the highlights of my life and I would recommend them to anyone looking for ways to volunteer in their local community.
My initial experience with Global Outreach Developments, Int'l came about when my children attended their K-12 school, the Academy for GOD. I was so taken back by the individual attention they got, how the teachers truly cared for them and their well-being in a holistic setting. This led my husband and I to want to know more about the ministry and those who are serving within it. We discovered the college, the Institute for GOD where we were welcomed with open arms as adult learners in our 30s/40s. We have been able to volunteer our time, to learn God’s word and to be witnesses to all the amazing programs that take place at G.O.D Int'l. The love and attention that is put into refugees, children, the poor, education, meeting needs and those who want to make this world a better place is truly God’s Word put into action.
I’ve never met a more dynamic group of people committed to using their gifts to serve others. I thank God we have found a ministry that really focuses on developing people so that they can be a blessing to their community.
Volunteering with GOD Int'l. for 15 years has been such a joy!
My husband and I have been blessed to serve in so many areas of this dynamic organization throughout our affiliation. From after school programs, summer camp and english classes for immigrants, to administrative projects, fundraising and international missions -- GOD Int'l. truly has a place for everyone to serve and contribute their gifts to their mission.
And what a mission it is.
To be able to unite with fellow believers and give the best of our skills to make our local and international community better is just the best. There's not greater feeling than to give to our brothers and sisters and help them have opportunities they simply aren't offered in their community. We believe that these neighbors are worth the work and so does GOD Int'l. and the hundreds of amazing volunteers and staff that make it happen.
My first exposure to Global Outreach Developments Int'l (G.O.D.) was about ten years ago when my daughter began studying the Bible at The Institute for G.O.D. Not long after, her brother began taking classes followed closely by both my husband and me. During that time, I have watched both of my children grow spiritually as a result of the Biblical education they received at the Institute and ministry service abroad while attending. Knowing the Word has transformed their lives. They have become "doers of the word, not merely hearers." Their Biblical education has become the lens for all other educational endeavors, for work, and for life as a whole. They are committed to serving locally by helping in after-school education programs, developing summer youth service programs, and summer camps. Their efforts along with their team’s efforts have helped third-world communities bring nutritious meals and clean drinking water to children in schools. These are just a few of the many ways Global Outreach Developments Int’l demonstrates their commitment to educating, advocating, and empowering the poor and marginalized around the world and in their backyard. Through their efforts, they offer restoration of dignity, kindness, and love to every person they serve by coming alongside and partnering with them for solutions. It truly is an honor to partner with G.O.D. in these efforts.
I have volunteered with G.O.D. Int'l over over 10 years, both in Nashville and in doing ministry in India and El Salvador. The organization prioritizes and values the Word of God. Biblical values are at the root of every effort to serve. Because of that, the love of Jesus is evident in the work that is done here. That work is also characterized by excellence. An organizational motto is, "What we do here is what we do there." This means that as a third world development agency, G.O.D. Int'l won't try to bring something that is untried or undeveloped to serve people in need around the world. They will only bring what has already been demonstrated to work, and work well. This means that some things may not happen fast, but when they do, they work, and produce life. It's been a gift to be a part of this ministry and I look forward to many more years of participating with Jesus, through G.O.D. Int'l.
