We've been involved with Global Hope Network just a few years, and have been blown away by the results of the TCD projects. Love the focus on sustainability, education, and empowerment. Villages are truly transformed when the 3-5 year project is over, and they keep on improving even when GHNI is no longer involved. I'm proud to be a part of a great organization who stewards money responsibly and helps people with compassion and dignity.
I have personal knowledge of some of the GHNI staff through my volunteer work with them over the last two and a half years, and consider it a great privilege. Their heart for the suffering and dedication to personally venturing into areas of the world that are frequently highly dangerous has both inspired and humbled me. Unlike some other relief organizations, their stated and fulfilled aim is to teach the villagers they aid how to achieve self-sustainability: "a hand up, not a handout."
And they do all this on donations from regular folks like you and me, most working without a salary, because of their huge hearts and powerful sense of mission.
I have rarely met people I'm more proud to be associated with, even in my relatively small way.
