We transport and foster for Glen Highland Farm and have been the loving recipients of several foster/permanent family members. We are huge border collie fans and share our home with 2 of them at the moment! We have been supporting Glen Highland Farms for +/- 20 years and highly recommend them if you are looking to adopt/surrender a border collie or bc mix. These are loving dogs that need a job to do to keep them out of trouble. We have a Dog Guard Invisible fence and our "kids" run 6-8 hours a day (on patrol duty) and they do a great job keeping the lions and tigers away (also squirrels, rabbits and birds). Life is better when shared with a border collie or two!
Review from Guidestar
We have been contributing to this Border Collie rescue since 2005. They do an amazing job rescuing dogs from bad situations and fostering them on their 160-acre farm until a suitable adopter can be found. The dogs are treated very well, with multi-acre exercise and play areas. They have live-in caretakers for the dogs, including separate housing for special needs dogs and another for elderly dogs. An amazing rescue that must be seen in person to fully appreciate what they do. They also raise funds by allowing people to bring their dogs on a camping vacation on the property, where dogs can run free over their 160 acres of trails, streams and ponds. We have camped there numerous times, both in cabins and their onsite RV's (my wife can't seem to live without AC) and our dogs love it.
We have also adopted 3 dogs from them over the years and their placement procedures are geared towards making sure an adopter goes home with the dog that will best work for them and their situation.
