Causes: Education, Environment, Natural Resources Conservation & Protection
Mission: Glen Canyon Institute is an environmental organization active in protecting, and engaging public dialogue concerning the restoration of Glen Canyon and a free flowing Colorado River through the Glen canyon and the Grand Canyon. Known as America’s “lost national park” Glen Canyon was an environment once thought gone forever, inundated by surplus reservoir water. However due to relentless drought and skyrocketing water demand across the West, the fabled slot canyons and riparian habitat is returning, and now is our chance to protect it. Our cause is one of environmental and resource conservation, on a massive scale, concerning a vital ecosystem that many haven't realized they have a chance, and renewed voice, in restoring.
