For 15 years, I've taught thousands of children about the contributions of women musicians. I love watching their eyes light up, while singing the songs that were made popular by Ella Fitzgerald and others like her. Our organization, Women in Jazz South Florida, Inc. visits schools in the tri-county area bringing programs to enhance the musical studies of students. We would like to bring our programs to Girl Power in the near future.

Girl Power is a wonderful organization. I've volunteered on several projects and have seen, first-hand, the positive impact they have on the young girls they service. Some of these girls have no idea what self esteem is all about until they walk through the doors of Girl Power Programs. By the time they've been there a couple of days you see the difference in the attitude they have about themselves and they start to show respect for others. This is a wonderful organization, located in the heart of Miami, FL and I will continue to support them in anyway I can.
